Summary
We are currently seeking a GenAI Solution Lead to join our team. This role is responsible for leading the Generative AI scene within APAC and blends technical leadership (60%) with product engineering (40%), requiring deep full stack and Generative AI expertise, stakeholder management, and a steadfast focus on quality, compliance, and scalability.
This is a 12 months contract role with a potential to extend based on individuals performance.
Job Description:
Technical Leadership (60%)

• Regular audit of vendor-developed Generative AI solution for their architecture feasibility, code quality, scalability, and security.
• Guide technical design and development processes to ensure adherence to Responsible and Ethical Generative AI principles and Generative AI engineering best practices (e.g. prompt engineering standards and testing framework).
• Conduct architecture review and analysis ranging from solution to code level for current and new Generative AI and/or Full Stack solutions.
• Contribute to the global and regional engineering standards, tools and frameworks relating to Generative AI and/or Full Stack engineering, partnering with other engineering leaders to integrate these standards into the software development and delivery processes.
• Develop and implement Generative AI-specific quality assurance processes and report QA metrics to business and technical stakeholders on a periodic basis.

Product Engineering (40%)

• Play the role of "Lead Generative AI Coach" to advocate for "Responsible and Ethical Generative AI" design within the regional product teams (across the enterprise), and mentor and train multi-functional teams on Generative AI practices, including prompt engineering and risk mitigation strategies.
• Influence vendor selection strategy for Generative AI capabilities to ensure the best technology partners, solutions and innovations are brought into the organization.
• Own end-to-end solution delivery, ensuring on-time, high-quality outcomes with risk mitigation plans.
• Stay on top of the newest technology trends in AI/ML and full stack development, applying these insights to push the boundaries of our practices and processes

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or Information Technology is preferred, with minimum 3 years of experience
• Background in AI/ML/DS through coursework, specialization, postgraduate studies, or executive education is considered a valuable addition.
• Demonstrated ability in software engineering, with emphasis on Generative AI initiatives ranging from using LLM APIs, conduct prompt engineering and set up LLM operations.
• Proficiency in either Javascript, Typescript (or Python) and LLM frameworks (e.g. Langchain, Langgraph, etc).
• Able to liaise with Japan market
• Proficient in working within a DevOps culture, applying Git-based workflows and performing code reviews alongside CI/CD pipeline evaluations for seamless integration and deployment.
• Proven track record managing software engineering projects, and ability to lead diverse teams and collaborate effectively across different functions.
• Experience contributing to discussions about new standards and revisions to existing ones.
• Experience in mentoring, coaching, and guiding other technology professionals.
• Certifications in Cloud Architecture (E.g. AWS or Azure) and SCRUM Mastering (CSM/PSM) will be advantageous but not required.

The AI/ML Strategy and Implementation role for Group Networks is a pivotal position within our organization, focused on leveraging advanced AI/ML technologies to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and innovation of network operations. The position holder will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive AI/ML technology strategy and architecture that align with the overarching goals of Singtel28 and collaborates with various operating companies (Opcos) to embed AI/ML capabilities across all network domains.
Key Responsibilities:
AI/ML Strategy Development: Develop AI/ML technology strategy, architecture, roadmap and best practices for Singtel Group Networks and Opcos to evolve from manual processes to AI-embedded automation in Planning, Optimisation and Operations for all domains in Networks (RAN, Mobile Core, IP Transport, Fixed Access, OSS etc). The candidate will work with the domain experts in developing the strategy and aligning with the domain experts on their automation goals.
Technical Direction and Leadership: Provide technical direction to drive AI/ML initiatives across Group Networks (GTN) and Opcos Networks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and integrate AI capabilities into planning, optimization, and assurance processes, fostering innovation and collaboration.
Expertise in AI/ML Technologies and Practices: The position holder shall be well-versed in various AI/ML technologies and practices, including:
Generative AI (GenAI) technologies, including AI models (e.g., GPT-4, GPT-01, Llama, Mistral), Large Language Models (LLM), Small Language Models (SLM), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Prompt Engineering, training, inference, co-pilots, AI agents, etc.
ML and related technologies, including Symbolic AI (algo/rules, classification, KG etc) and Neural AI (DNN, RNN, LLM etc).
AI/MLOps, including lifecycle management, tooling, monitoring and CI/CD.
Data and Analytics strategy and implementation for AI/ML
The position holder will be responsible for the development of the Data and Analytics Strategy for AI/ML for the Group Networks. This includes designing a strategy and architecture blueprint that aligns with Singtel Group's data management practices. The position holder will work with Group Data COE and Opcos to create and maintain a comprehensive technology roadmap to support data-driven AI/ML based decision-making within Singtel Group. This position plays a key role in ensuring the quality, security, and accessibility of data across various AI/ML use cases.
Expertise in Data and Analytics Technologies and Practices: The position holder shall be well-versed in various data analytics technologies and practices, including:
Data engineering, including data cleaning, EDA and feature engineering
Data operations, including data processing, data pipelines, data availability, integrity and security
Data governance, including policy, standards, quality and integrity
Data exposure, including API, streaming (Kafka) and related storage (SQL, NoSQL, Vector)
Other Roles and Responsibilities:
Thought Leadership: Provide expert guidance on AI/ML and Operational Excellence to GTN and the Singtel Opcos.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster collaboration across various functions to champion AI/ML alignment and adoption throughout the organisation including Opcos Networks, IT and Business Units.
Evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools to enhance existing systems and processes.
Skills for Success
Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in AI/ML, with proven track record of technical implementation and strategic development. Experience in leading cross-functional teams and partnership. Additional experience in software development, in particular, in AI/ML related tools and libraries, will be a plus.
