Candidate Profile:
We welcome candidates who are in the final year of their Ph.D. program or recent Ph.D. graduates in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related fields. Experienced researchers and industry professionals with strong publication records are also encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Conduct research in Natural Language Processing, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, Vision-Language Models, and other related fields;
Design, prototype, and evaluate novel algorithms and models;
Publish research findings in leading AI conferences and journals (e.g., NeurIPS, ICLR, CVPR, EMNLP, ACL, etc.);
Contribute to technology transfer by supporting proof-of-concept (POC) and pilot projects;
Represent the Company at international academic events;
Adhere to the highest standards of research ethics, data privacy, and compliance.
Qualifications
PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field
Hands-on experience in NLP methodologies (e.g., Text Classification, Supervised Fine-Tuning, Chain-of-Thought)

ROLE
The Speech and Language Therapist , AT Hub assesses clients for their functional needs and challenges in the areas of speech and communication and plans Assistive Technology interventions that includes trial ,training and recommendation of suitable AT/AAC solutions to clients in need ;training and supporting teachers, caregivers, and parents in the intervention strategies, and processes. The individual may work in collaborative and transdisciplinary teams. The job scope also entails managing risk and service quality, assisting senior colleagues in projects, specialised clinics, research work, performing departmental administration and operational tasks and participating in continuing education. The individual should possess effective communication, and problem-solving skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical:
Conduct functional AT assessments to determine required Assistive Technology interventions for referred cases.
Formulate client-centred and SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Timely) AT goals in collaboration with clients and relevant stakeholders.
Communicate the assessment results, intervention plans, goals and outcome measures to relevant stakeholders.
Identify, assess, and prescribe assistive devices as required by the clients to improve function.
Select appropriate and specific outcome measures to enable evaluation of intervention progress and outcomes.
Provide intervention to clients on one-to-one basis, group or classroom setting based on their needs in relation to feeding/swallowing, language, literacy, speech, and communication skills.
Evaluate intervention progress and outcomes using the recommended AT outcome measures at regular intervals.
Modify intervention plans based on client performance and motivation as well as intervention outcome measures collected.
Liaise with and empower parents in client handling skills to ensure and encourage continuity and consistency of SLP related strategies incorporated both at centre and home.
Communicate and involve in discussions and meetings of client-related issues with parents, caregivers, volunteers, and members of the rehabilitation team.
Formulate discharge plans, if required, based on client performance in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
Identify risks of clients, environments, situations, and equipment before, during and after clients' contact.
Education, Training and Development:
Keep abreast of latest development in service delivery of AT/AAC related areas to ensure that AT interventions are evidence-based.
Develop competencies across different areas of SLP required according to the clientele served.
Participate in continuous professional development, based on the learning needs and competency gaps identified.
Conduct in-house sharing and training programs for relevant staff, teachers, parents, caregivers, and volunteers in the organisation.
Assist department in programme evaluation, giving and seeking feedback as appropriate, and in quality improvement projects.
Administration
Maintain efficient documentation and reporting of speech therapy records such as:
Initial assessment
Assessment / Re-assessment
Intervention goals
Session Notes
Clients' Progress Report
Schedule planning
Discharge planning
Database of all clients under your schedule
Monitor individual clinical and non-clinical key performance indicators set – Performance Management System (PMS)
Ensure that the administrative duties relevant to departmental work are carried out effectivelyAdhere to workplace health and safety standards.
Responsible for administrative duties such as:
Raising PR, Purchase of trial equipment, inventories equipment, release, and collection of loaned AT devices, etc.
Responsible for Technical duties, such as:
Assembly/installation of new equipment, repair, and maintenance of old equipment etc. Responsible for collaborating with social worker, applying for subsidies and other funds to procure the device for the client.
Responsible for procuring the recommended assistive technology device for the client, follow up training and follow up for the usage of the device at school / home or workplace.
REQUIREMENTS
A relevant Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree in Speech and Language Pathology / Therapy recognized by the Allied Health Professions Council, Singapore with Full Registration, and keen to develop competencies for self and professional development in the areas of AT/AAC .
At least two years' experience with clients with multiple disabilities, providing AT solutions.
An Assistive Technology Professional Certificate / Trainings in the field of AT/AAC will be an added advantage.
