Responsibilities & Duties
Core Role: Teaching
- Adopt Kodecoon's pedagogy to best deliver coding classes in the form of regular weekly classes, ad-hoc programs or school programs for local or international students in Singapore
- Guide students through the development of a final project that will be presented and distributed to fellow classmates and parents
- Facilitate a dynamic and collaborative classroom community
- Inspire students to persevere through the challenges their ideas into actual creative products
- Work closely with lead instructors to provide parents with meaningful and prompt feedback on the students' progress
Track 1: Curriculum Manager
- Lead research and development initiatives to find out the latest software or hardware edtech teaching tools for curriculum development
- Spearhead curriculum development in different programming languages, not limited to Python, game development, and mobile apps development
- Create curriculum content for students from ages 4 years old onwards with proper lesson plans to be used in Kodecoon's ad-hoc workshops, regular term classes and/or holiday camps
- Test out the newly created curriculum in the form of workshops, or hands-on activities with Kodecoon's students
- Go through continuous iterations to improve the current curriculum or newly developed curriculum based on feedback received
Track 2: Training & Quality Control Manager
- Spearhead the quality control efforts of Kodecoon Academy's teaching team by reviewing the instructors' class performance and also curriculum materials to see if there is any potential for improvement
- Lead the training efforts to onboard new or upskill existing instructors and trainers to enhance the teaching quality
- Speak to Kodecoon Academy's parents to gather feedback on areas of improvement
- Create a community of trainers open to sharing feedback and constant improvement
- Improve curriculum in the area of content development (for e.g. common content that is misconstrued by students, or simplification of content presentation)
Track 3: Customer Success Manager
- Be a key player in the customer acquisition team to onboard new parents to Kodecoon's community
- Maintain customer relationships with the existing parents and provide timely feedback to the parents of the students' performance (Eg, retaining the students)
- Share Kodecoon's vision and recommend suitable coding programs for students
- Responsible for handling general administrative duties, e.g. rolling over students, setting up classes
