Responsibilities
- Perform daily operations of the laboratory in accordance with established SOPs.
- Carry out phlebotomy, Electrocardiogram (ECG), and spirometry accurately and professionally.
- Conduct Point of Care Testing (e.g., Prothrombin Time, glucose) and a wide range of clinical laboratory tests including:
• Urinalysis (Urine FEME, dipstick, pregnancy)
• Haematology (Full Blood Count, peripheral blood film, ESR, prothrombin time)
• Biochemistry (HbA1c, neonate bilirubin)
• Microscopy (fungal smear, high vaginal swab) - Ensure proper specimen identification, processing, and storage in compliance with laboratory best practices.
- Perform and verify quality control on all analysers prior to patient testing.
- Use the Laboratory Information System (LIS) for result entry, validation, and test tracking.
- Ensure accuracy and reliability of all test results provided to clinicians.
- Maintain and troubleshoot analysers/equipment; liaise with BME or vendors for servicing when required.
- Monitor inventory and notify responsible personnel when reagents and supplies are low.
- Perform and document internal/external quality controls and calibrations, and troubleshoot outliers.
- Report 'critical values' to relevant personnel within 30 minutes.
- Maintain up-to-date records of daily QC and equipment maintenance.
- Comply with hand hygiene, workplace safety, IPSG, ISO, and other applicable regulatory standards.
- Provide courteous service to patients, clinicians, colleagues, and service providers.
- Report adverse incidents and workflow anomalies to supervisor promptly.
- Ensure compliance with NUHS data protection and cybersecurity policies.
- Perform any other functions delegated by supervisor and/or lead laboratory personnel.
Requirements
- Diploma in Biomedical Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related fields.
- 1–3 years of experience in a laboratory environment; phlebotomy experience preferred.

Requirements:

Minimum 6 years of laboratory experience plus 4 years supervisory or management experience in a clinical laboratory environment.
Prior supervisory experience managing several direct reports preferred.
Experience in a high-volume working environment.
Knowledge of quality assurance practices and procedures.
Strong knowledge of CAP, ISO15189 accreditation and MOH HCSA regulations.
Understanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures
Proven ability to problem solving/troubleshooting and provide solutions under minimal supervision.
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
High level of attention to detail with strong organization skills.
Comfortable making decisions in a fast changing environment.

Reporting to the QA Manager and working closely with the Mechanical Manager, the QC Supervisor for Mechanical is responsible for overseeing the mechanical execution works performed by the EPC contractors, ensuring strict adherence to contractual quality requirements, engineering specifications, applicable codes, and international best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and tests to verify that mechanical installations and repairs adhere to design technical specifications, codes, and quality standards
- Ensure all mechanical work complies with relevant industry codes, project specifications, company policies, and contractual obligations
- Oversee critical mechanical activities including material inspection, installation, welding, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), pressure testing, and final alignment and pre-commissioning checks
- Maintain detailed, accurate, and auditable records of all inspection activities, equipment history, non-conformance reports, and quality documentation

The essential requirements of the job include
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quality control or assurance, ideally within filter manufacturing or similar sectors.
- Proven ability to lead QC teams and oversee laboratory operations efficiently.
- Deep understanding of filtration technologies, materials science, and chemical manufacturing processes.
