About Department and Purpose of the Position
Reporting to System Manager, the role involves supporting our IT operations, ensuring smooth system maintenance, compliance reporting, and effective communication of IT updates. This role combines technical oversight with administrative coordination to maintain the reliability and security of out in-house system.
Duties and Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the following:
· Assist in collation, documentation and submission of IT reviewed change requests to relevant parties. Track and keep requestors informed on the target deployment date for change requests.
· Support lab workload statistic report compilation and submission.
· Assist in periodic monitoring and review of interface error work queues.
· To attain Beaker Analyst certification.
· Handles processing of simple change requests.
· Participate and assist in the coordination, preparation and verification of system implementation projects
· Assist in preparing quarterly vulnerabilities assessment scan reports for in-house systems
· Help with support vulnerability remediation efforts for in-house virtual machine servers.
· Verify functionality of in-house applications following patching or maintenance activities
· Contribute to user-managed system patch and technology refresh management quarterly reports.
· Coordinate with the infrastructure team on unplanned patching or maintenance schedules.
· Assist in the annual PAM/Database user access management review exercises for in-house applications.
· Monitor IT announcements and notify relevant stakeholders about impacted systems.
Key Requirements
Diploma in Information Technology or relevant from a recognized institution
Good computer skills and familiar with Microsoft office suite
Foundational knowledge of IT systems, applications, and infrastructure.
Awareness of basic cybersecurity and system maintenance practices.
Good communication and coordination skills to work with cross-functional teams.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to task follow-up.
Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic IT environment.
Prior experience with laboratory will be advantageous.
Self-motivated, able to learn quickly and be flexible.
Ability to prioritize and simultaneously work on multiple tasks within timeline.
