Being the contact for the production units
Monitoring the production unit’s analytic results produced by the lab
Managing the LIMS according to analysis plan
Managing the laboratory equipment operation, calibration, preventative maintenance and trouble shoot malfunctions as required
Scheduling and manpower allocation in order to support production activities
Purchase and manage laboratory supplies such as chemicals , consumables etc
Liaise with vendors for troubleshooting and maintenance of laboratory equipment
Foster continuous improvement in methods development and methods transfer
Periodically review, lead and update Risk Assessment to adhere the safe practices
Coaching, guiding and providing technical support to lab technicians
Train the lab technicians as per technician progression plan

The Lab Chemist can be called in outside office hours if required
REQUIREMENTS
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Master's Degree, Chemistry or equivalent.
At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Preferably Senior Executives specializing in Chemistry or equivalent.
Hands on experience in handling analytical instruments including trouble shooting
Good communications skills
Experience in people management preferred
Sound knowledge of Lab equipment such as GC, HPLC, Automatic Titrators, AAS, UV Spectrometer, Glass Oven, Rotavap, Densimeter, X-ray, TOC-Analyzer, Molsieve, TGA Analyzer
Able to perform work in chemical plant lab environment handling highly hazardous and toxic material
