We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Scientist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting chemical analysis of environmental samples, including wastewater, trade effluent, and building materials.
As a Laboratory Scientist, you will perform testing using various methods and instrumentation, such as ICP, TOC, IC, FTIR, UV_VIS. You will also ensure reagents preparation, QA/QC, and test methods comply with ISO 17025 requirements.
Maintenance of equipment calibration, maintenance, and verification is essential for lab quality management compliance. Additionally, you may be required to perform sampling and on-site testing when necessary.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting chemical analysis of environmental samples
- Performing testing using various methods and instrumentation
- Ensuring reagents preparation, QA/QC, and test methods comply with ISO 17025 requirements
- Maintaining equipment calibration, maintenance, and verification
- Performing sampling and on-site testing when necessary
To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and qualifications:
- Minimum Diploma in Chemical Engineering or related field
- Proficient in using laboratory equipment, including IC, ICPMS, ICPOES, GC-MS
- In-depth understanding of testing concepts
- Ability to analyze and compile testing data

If you are our Failure Analysis Chemical Technician in Singapore, you will have a chance to
Perform analysis/testing for inks and components utilizing standard chemical/laboratory instrumentation for R&D, Product Development and Manufacturing activities.
Work with partners to solve analytical requests and communicate results accordingly.
Ensure adherence to good laboratory practices when required, in the areas of Laboratory Safety, Instrument Calibration, Instrument maintenance, Instrument troubleshooting and problem solving, Method Development, Laboratory Documentation (SOP), Quality System Support (R&R).
Develop the capability of the current instrument set.
Handles unknown and Non-Routine Failure Analysis Issues/Requests from Product lines.
Work with Engineers to conduct and develop new analysis methods
Continuously seek and apply improvement to test methodology or tools for Productivity & Efficiency purpose.
Ensures tooling up-time and its availability to meet the quality, schedule, and cost.
Responds promptly to daily tooling issues that affect yield and quality occur on the manufacturing operations.
Ensures the optimization of spares in inventory between its availability and holding cost.
Communicates effectively on equipment reliability issues, root cause analysis and corrective or preventive actions.
Maintains good housekeeping and follows all safety procedures.
Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:
Chemical Engineering Diploma or Degree with related experience
Experience in operating PH/Conductivity, Tensiometer, UV Vis, Nanotrac , LCMS, GCMS, ICP OES and other analytical lab equipment for analysis purpose.
Knowledge and experience working with chemicals.
Must possess strong analytical, good problem solving and decision‐making skills.

Location: Pioneer, transport pick up Singapore and JB Bukit Indah
Working Hours: 4334 days 12 hours shift (Day / Night)
Day Shift: 8:00am – 8:15pm
Night Shift: 8:00pm – 8:15am
Basic Salary: $2400 - $3000

Job Description
• Assist in conducting validation, evaluation, and characterization of media, media processes, and related components to ensure compliance with design and reliability margins.
• Perform surface analysis measurements and support the development of analysis techniques under the guidance of engineers.
• Document and compile results of evaluations and failure analyses for review by engineers.
• Collaborate with engineers to provide input on surface analysis results and support improvement activities.
• Execute daily evaluation and failure analysis tasks as prioritized by engineers to meet target completion dates.
• Operate and maintain surface analysis lab equipment and report any issues to engineer or vendors for repair and maintenance.
• Ensure lab operations comply with ISO quality and safety standards.
• Carry out additional tasks as assigned by engineers to support lab operations and engineering activities.

Requirement:
• Higher NITEC or Diploma in Science/ Engineering
• Fresh graduate or candidate w/ few years of working experience
