Role Summary:

You will be responsible to oversee the development, operation and management of the chemical analysis lab, ensuring precision and compliance with industry standards while optimizing analytical methodologies and supervising staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and manage the operation system for the chemical laboratory to ensure compliance with industry

standards and quality requirements.

• Develop and implement advanced analytical methods to meet the fab's monitoring and analysis needs.

• Optimize processes to enhance the precision and efficiency of chemical analyses.

• Ensure the calibration, validation, and maintenance of laboratory equipment to uphold accuracy and reliability in results.

• Conduct micro-contamination monitoring activities to detect and mitigate issues effectively.

• Provide guidance and supervision to laboratory staff, establishing and achieving annual performance goals.

Education Qualification & Essential Experiences:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in semiconductor Chemical Analyst engineering.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented approach with the ability to analyse complex data and derive insights.

Job Description

This is a unique opportunity for an entry-level analytical chemist to join our team. As an Associate Analytical Chemist, you will be responsible for conducting routine analyses in compliance with applicable methods, protocols, SOPs, and regulatory agency guidelines.

You will also learn to document work and maintain study documentation and laboratory records. Additionally, you will learn to use laboratory equipment and software appropriate for assigned tasks.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills, as they will interact with operational personnel, scientific personnel, and department management.

As a key member of the team, you will contribute to a cohesive team environment and plan individual workload in coordination with team members.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma in Food Science, Chemistry, Science or equivalent.
• Ability to work with potentially hazardous materials.
• Will be exposed to potential food allergens.

As a skilled chemical process specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our products.

• Perform analytical testing to validate product release, project, and validation related testing.
• Ensure that all tests are conducted in accordance with established procedures.
• Train junior technicians on identified subject matter expertise.
• Evaluate training effectiveness for new lab personnel.
• Supervise junior technicians during testing, including equipment troubleshooting, failure handling, and investigation.
• Support laboratory consumables purchasing, inventory control, and expenditure management.
• Assist in investigating chemical analysis failures (excluding Singapore site).
• Conduct or review internal calibration and maintain calibration master records.
• Verify tagging status and certificate of analysis for product release.
• Verify test results obtained by QA lab personnel.
• Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns or malfunctions.
• Ensure compliance with written procedures for chemical mixing processes.
• Support routine in-house test requests, including chemical extraction tests as needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Chemical Process Technology/Microbiology or related field.
• Ability to work independently and willingness to perform overtime as required.
• Commitment to rotating monthly shifts (8am-5:30pm/ 8pm-5:30am).
• Ability to work in cleanroom environments.

Analysis of water samples using manual titration and colorimetric methods as well as instruments such as flow injection analyser, UV-spectrometer, and titrator etc.

Helping to maintain ISO17025 system

Diploma/Degree holders in chemistry / chemical process/chemical engineering or related fields
