Job Title: Laboratory Specialist - Environmental Testing
- Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory analysis, maintaining equipment, and ensuring good housekeeping in the laboratory.
- Responsibilities:
- Conduct final sample preparation in a controlled environment.
- Perform laboratory analysis and report findings.
- Assist chemists in technical development projects.
- Maintain inventory of laboratory facilities and equipment.
- Record and report on inventory of laboratory supplies.
- Carry out calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment as per schedule or instructed.
- Ensure good housekeeping in the laboratory.
- Follow established procedures and documentation.
- Update relevant records.
Requirements:
- At least an ITE or diploma in chemistry, chemical process technology, or material science.
- Working experience in precious metal or base metal is an added advantage.
Benefits:
- Salary: $2200 - $700.
- Entitled to overtime pay.
- Transport allowance ( 120) if candidate possesses own transport.
- Monday to Friday (8am - 5pm); Saturday (8am - 12pm).

Job Description
We are seeking an analytical scientist to join our team. This role will be responsible for performing various analytical tests and ensuring that all incoming samples are tested and completed on time using the appropriate test methods and good laboratory practices.
Responsibilities:- Performing Analytical Tests: Conduct a range of analytical tests, including but not limited to, chromatography, spectroscopy, and titration. Ensure that all tests are performed in accordance with established procedures and protocols.
- Sample Management: Receive, store, and manage all incoming samples in a controlled environment. Ensure that all samples are properly labeled and stored according to established procedures.
- Laboratory Equipment Maintenance: Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, including instruments such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FTIR, ICP, etc.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain an in-depth understanding of statistics and analytical techniques. Document, revise, and assess the analytical methods used in the laboratory.
- Documentation and Reporting: Record and report results accurately and in a timely manner. Sign off reports as an approved SAC signatory for the appropriate discipline (where applicable).
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field.
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of laboratory experience preferred (entry-level candidates may be considered for junior roles).
- Skills: Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices, Good Manufacturing Practices, or ISO 17025 standards.
- Certifications: Prior experience using laboratory instruments (e.g. HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FTIR, ICP, etc.) is strongly preferred.

Role Summary

Key Responsibilities
Create and manage the operation system for the chemical laboratory to ensure compliance with industry standards and quality requirements.
Develop and implement advanced analytical methods to meet the fab’s monitoring and analysis needs.
Optimize processes to enhance the precision and efficiency of chemical analyses.
Ensure the calibration, validation, and maintenance of laboratory equipment to uphold accuracy and reliability in results.
Conduct micro-contamination monitoring activities to detect and mitigate issues effectively.
Provide guidance and supervision to laboratory staff, establishing and achieving annual performance goals.
Education Qualification & Essential Experiences
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in semiconductor Chemical Analyst engineering.
Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented approach with the ability to analyse complex data and derive insights.
Personal Attributes
