Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of perovskite solutions and materials for experiments.
Support in device fabrication processes such as thin film coating, laser scribing, and module assembly under the guidance of engineers.
Carry out standard testing and characterization of perovskite solar cells (e.g., efficiency testing, stability tests).
Record experimental procedures, observations, and results accurately in laboratory logbooks.
Prepare samples for analysis and assist in operating laboratory instruments (e.g., SEM, XRD, UV-Vis).
Maintain cleanliness and safety of laboratory workspace, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Conduct routine calibration and basic maintenance of laboratory equipment.
Collaborate closely with internal colleagues in Singapore to support project needs.
What We’re Looking For: Education:
Secondary School/Professional Certificate/NITEC, Diploma, or Degree in any field. Experience:
At least 1 year of relevant experience (Candidates without experience are welcome to apply!). Skills:
Prior laboratory experience, especially in material preparation, device fabrication, or testing, is advantageous.
Basic knowledge of photovoltaic devices or semiconductor materials will be a plus.
Proficient in laboratory techniques, with attention to accuracy and details.
Bilingual skills (English & Mandarin) preferred, as some laboratory equipment and manuals are in Mandarin and require basic understanding to operate. Personal Qualities:

- Monday – Thursday: 7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)

Scope of Services
Food Laboratory Preparation & Support
- Adhere to school policies and promote good food safety practices.
- Assist Nutrition and Food Science teachers in preparing food items for lessons as requested.
- Perform cooking tasks such as frying, boiling, steaming, using large and small kitchen equipment.
- Label, cover, and store unused food after each lesson.
- Conduct daily cleaning of food preparation areas and equipment; carry out deeper cleaning tasks on a weekly, monthly, or termly basis as instructed.
- Monitor stock inventory of food and cleaning supplies and alert teachers before supplies run out.
Kitchen Maintenance & Operations
- Reset food laboratory layouts after each lesson as required.
- Take responsibility for closing the food laboratories, including switching off appliances, storing items appropriately, and completing cleaning tasks.
Student Engagement & Safety
- Participate in cooking activities with students during lessons and extracurricular activities.
- Report any abuse, vandalism, defects, or health and safety issues promptly to the teacher-in-charge.
Inventory & Asset Management
- Assist in tracking fixed assets and stores.
- Facilitate stock-take exercises when required.
Other Duties
- Perform additional duties as assigned by school leadership.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proficient in English communication.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a secondary school environment, preferably assisting teachers in food preparation for lessons.
- Knowledge of hygienic practices when handling food.
- Responsible, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

The National University of Singapore invites applications for Research Assistant (Production Radiochemist) in the Clinical Imaging Research Centre (CIRC), Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. CIRC is a dedicated molecular imaging research centre. It is equipped with on-site capability for the preparation of PET radiopharmaceuticals in a state-of-the-art GMP-certified facility. CIRC is positioned to support both academic and commercially led clinical research programs, with dedicated clinical imaging facilities area advanced modalities of PET-CT and PET-MRI. Purpose of the post
The Production Radiochemist at Clinical Imaging Research Centre (CIRC) is responsible for the routine production of radiopharmaceuticals inside the Clean Room environment, in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). The Radiochemist will be assisting in the method development and validation of new radiopharmaceuticals, including the preparation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and other quality documentation. With strong technical and analytical expertise, the Production Radiochemist helps maintain high operational uptime, ensures regulatory compliance, and upholds patient and product safety standards.
Main duties and responsibilities
The Production Radiochemist will be able to:
Perform radiolabelling of peptides, antibodies, or small molecules using radionuclides such as Lu-177, Ga-68, F-18, etc.
Prepare and review batch records, lab notebooks, SOPs and other documents.
Assist with emergency maintenance/calibration of radiochemistry synthesis and dispensing modules (e.g., Scintomics, iPhase, Trasis).
Support deviation investigations, CAPAs, and change control implementations as needed.
Perform ad-hoc clean room activities, including cleaning of rooms, stock inventory and environmental monitoring.
Safe handling of radioactive materials including hazardous waste disposal.
Working flexible hours, shifts, or weekends based on production schedules and isotope half-lives.
Performing any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department in accordance with GMP and safety regulations.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Personnel should be:
• Willing to work with radioactive materials
• Able to read, listen and understand technical direction and procedures
• Able to lift heavy loads (up to 14kg with both hands)
Qualifications
The applicant should:
- Have a minimum of BSc degree in Synthetic Organic/ Inorganic/ Medical Chemistry or a related science discipline;
- Practical experiences in general laboratory techniques, such as analytical balance operations, pipetting, pH measurement and reagents preparation.
- Experiences in pharmaceutical production under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) is an added advantage.
- Experiences in radiolabelling and purification techniques with short-lived radioisotopes (F-18, C-11, Ga-68) or Lu-177 is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimum supervision as well as a constructive team player.
- Require critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
- Those with no experience but with relevant academic and skills will be considered for this position
- Ability to perform first-line troubleshooting and minor repairs on automated modules (e.g., replacing tubing, valves, connectors, heaters).
- Ability to read technical manuals, interpret wiring diagrams, and communicate effectively with engineers or vendors for equipment servicing.
