About the role
Seeking an experienced Marine Engineer to join their team. As a Marine Engineer, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe operation of marine vessels, overseeing vessel maintenance, and supporting ship repair activities.
What you'll be doing
- Manage the day-to-day operation and maintenance of marine vessels, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
- Perform inspections, troubleshoot issues, and carry out repairs on various marine systems and equipment
- Coordinate and supervise ship repair and retrofit projects, working closely with external contractors and vendors
- Analyse operational data, identify areas for improvement, and implement cost-effective solutions
- Provide technical support and guidance to the vessel crew, ensuring the smooth running of operations
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and best practices related to marine engineering
- Participate in risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to enhance safety and operational efficiency
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Marine Engineer, preferably in the commercial shipping or offshore industry
- Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of marine vessels and equipment
- Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, manuals, and regulatory requirements
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Familiar with marine regulations, classification society requirements, and safety protocols
- Willingness to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

Key Responsibilities :- Ensure Quality controls in all aspects of Project management and Operations.
Monitor Conversion processes and when required FSO /FPSO's performance on day-to-day basis to ensure quality turaround.
Assisting during external quality and technical audits on board
Conducting internal quality and technical audits and training.
Conversion and Dry docking, control of quality in all processes. Attending to the conversion and dry docking for the FSO's
Monitor and manage Plan maintenance scheme (PMS) work list for FPSO/FSO.
Monitor manage and review NCR's status

Skills Requirements :- Good negotiation skills and willingness to learn.
Leadership skills
Min 2 years sailing experience as Chief Engineer.
Interest in managing FSO conversion projects and operating vessels/FSO's
Experience as FSO Superintendent or Vessel Superintendent managing FSO or Tankers.
Good understanding of Quality standards (9001 and for offshore industry will be an advantage.

- Servicing, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of marine communication and navigation equipment.
- Providing technical support on email / phone enquiries to service coordinators.
- Mainly job duties at Shipyard, anchorage, and overseas for installation, commissioning, service, troubleshooting, repair and warranty.
- Ensure conformance to ensure test results are consistent.
- Completion of Installation and commissioning work with proper reports.
- Management of Service reports, record on service, maintenance, warranty, and repair works are given.
- Liaison with Service Coordinator and relevant suppliers to provide technical solutions for defect reports relating to equipment and follow up to customer's requirements.
- Work experience with Radar, Echosounder, Autopilot, Speed log, Radio Equipment, MF/HF, VHF, Fleet Broadband, VSAT and etc. is an advantage.
- Prepare the service reports after completion of jobs.
Qualifications
- Candidate must be a GOC certificate holder and trained radio equipment.
- Should have GOC for carrying out Radio Survey and should have makers training and approval for Marine Communication Equipment
- Nitec/Higher Nitec/Diploma in Electronics/Communications/ RF Technology/ Marine or relevant working experience in installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of marine navigation equipment.
- Able to travel overseas, especially on short notice.
- Above 2 – 5 years' experience in marine & offshore industries.
