Coordination and implementation of a marketing strategy for underwriting classes under control, in cooperation with the Managing Director.

- Training of staff in the Marine Insurance class.
- Periodic reports as required for local and overseas management.
- Completion of appropriate underwriting worksheets, premium calculation detail and risk information for systems input.
- Preparation/ maintenance and overview of all underwriting files, slips and policy wordings.
- Ensure that risks underwritten conform to Marine treaties scope of cover.
- Place facultative reinsurance, subject to approval, as required with company approved professional reinsurers.
- Seek and obtain any special acceptance under the Marine reinsurance treaties where required by nature of the risks being insured by the company.
- Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines.
- Apply approved Marine Department rating model as a guide as part of the rating / pricing underwriting process.
