Aerospace Component Engineering Services (ACES) Pte Ltd is a joint venture between SIA Engineering Company and Parker Aerospace specializing in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of hydraulic pumps, actuators, valves and flight controls for commercial aircraft.

As we enter a new phase of business growth and gearing up for new generation aircraft to support customers mainly in the Asia Pacific region, we are inviting suitable candidates to apply for the post of TECHNICIAN/TRAINEE TECHNICIAN for this exciting role as part of the Operations Team.

We require individuals with a high level of initiative, self-motivation, excellent problem-solving skills, to fulfil the role that involves testing, disassembly, inspection, repair and assembly of state-of-the-art hydro-mechanical aircraft components.

ACES will develop employees and equip them with hands-on skills and knowledge through training programs developed in-house or industry specific courses.

The ideal candidate should possess the following requirements to be considered for this position:

• ITC or Diploma in Aerospace, Mechanical or Mechatronics or relevant discipline obtained from a recognized institution;
• Fresh graduates will be considered for the post as well;
• Practical experience (disassembly, inspection, repair, assembly and acceptance testing) of mechanical and electro-mechanical components would be preferred but not mandatory;
• Ability to interpret electrical wiring schematics, hydraulic system schematics and single-line diagrams;
• Proficiency in the English language such as reading and simple reporting are required;
• Working knowledge of MS-Office applications on Windows platform.

Safely perform highly complex repairs of the physical property, electrical, plumbing and mechanical equipment, air conditioners, refrigeration and pool heaters - ensuring all methods, materials and practices meet company standards and Local and National codes - with little or no supervision. Troubleshoot and perform repairs on all types of equipment (e.g., pump and motor replacement), plumbing (e.g., plunge toilets and unclog drains), electrical equipment including lamps, air conditioners, HVAC equipment, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, replace electrical switches and outlets, and program TV's. Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work. Display advanced knowledge of all engineering computer programs related to preventative maintenance, energy management, and other systems, including devices that interact with such programs. Perform advanced troubleshooting of hotel Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems. Display the ability to train and mentor other engineers as necessary. Display ability to perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities, including readings and rounds.
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; and properly store flammable materials. Ensure uniform and personal appearances are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and vocational or technical background.
Related Work Experience: Extensive experience and training in general maintenance, electrical or refrigeration, parts inventory and requisition, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting.
At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience.
Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
License or Certification: Valid Driver's License

About the role
As a Building Maintenance Technician at Knight Frank Strata Management business unit, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our buildings and estates. Reporting to the Site Head, you will perform a variety of technical tasks such as hands-on repairs, routine safety checks and preventive maintenance, to keep the facilities at optimal condition.
