Our APAC team (Singapore, Malaysia, Sydney, Melbourne) is made up of 40+ consultants with deep expertise across the AWM industry. Our clients include Asset Owners, Managers and Servicers, Wealth Managers and Insurers. Role Responsibilities:
As a Consultant / Manager at Alpha FMC, you will take a leading role in driving our change programs. You may be leading a workstream within a larger program; or helping to drive projects and produce deliverables for smaller projects alongside a small team of other Alpha resources. You will be responsible for identifying and implementing solutions for a range of issues facing asset and wealth managers. Over the course of each project, you will collect and analyse data, prepare and test hypotheses, and present recommendations to the client to solve their unique business challenge. You’ll be playing a proactive, leadership role in driving our programs forward and engaging directly with senior client stakeholders to solve their business challenges.
You will be responsible for:
Engaging with stakeholders to drive & lead execution against effective project plans, anticipate potential issues, and provide structured solutions to ensure a successful client engagement
Leading a workstream or component of a project, taking responsibility for the creation of client deliverables by facilitating client interviews and workshops, performing analysis in Excel, synthesising clear insights from complex information, and developing content that clearly articulates recommendations
Developing meaningful and successful relationships with clients and vendors by understanding the different needs of stakeholders and establishing a high degree of credibility internally and externally
Supporting Alpha FMC’s broader business evolution, including co-authoring whitepapers, and performing market research to identify opportunities for Alpha
Contributing to the wider Alpha community by making innovative and proactive contributions to one or more of Alpha’s business management or practice areas
Maintaining a broad understanding of the challenges facing the Asset & Wealth Management Industry and knowledge of relevant issues and trends within one or more of Alpha’s practice areas
Role Requirements (Skills, Experience and Qualifications):
At least 3+ years of proven consulting experience at a recognised consulting firm or through an ‘in-house’ consulting / business analyst role at a leading financial institution
Experience within financial services
Experience in Asset and/or Wealth management a plus
Experience of projects engaged on Front-To-Back Transformation, Data, Middle Office / Back Office Transformation & Migration, Target Operating Model, Business Processes and/or IT solutions in some of the following areas: Investments, Operations, Distribution & CRM a plus
Good understanding of both public and private markets’ asset classes a plus
Excellent consulting and problem-solving skills, and familiarity with recognised project / change and consulting frameworks
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions in a simple, logical, and impactful manner
Proven track record of building and sustaining lasting relationships with team members and client stakeholders
Intellectual capacity and ability to think in new, innovative ways to understand complex issues and develop creative solutions
Ability to comfortably multi-task and engage in multiple initiatives concurrently
Flexibility to travel if required
Strong academic background and degree from a leading institution

Professional Skills And Experience
Bachelor’s in engineering or related fields
8+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally in the Pharmaceutical industry, with projects or operations
Hands-on experience with up-to-date Emerson DeltaV DCS platform
Understanding of Batch S88 standards (CM, EM, Phases, Recipes, Units etc.)
Understanding of automation hardware and networking technologies
Motivated self-starter who is quick to adapt and work with minimal supervision
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Good interpersonal and presentation skills for presentation to clients/management team where necessary
Experience and/or interests in pharmaceutical & biologics GMP processes (e.g. computer systems validation)
Knowledge of Validation Lifecycle approach (URS, FAT/SAT, commissioning, I/O/PQ Protocols, etc), guidelines, international regulatory requirements and other industry best practices
Experience interacting with or creating material for management and regulatory agencies (preferably)
Experience with investigations into manufacturing deviations and determination of product impact potential, root cause and corrective/preventive actions
