Get AI‑powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.
Location: Singapore or Thailand (APAC Preferred)
Type: Full‑time / Contract‑to‑Hire / Fractional CTO
Position: Chief Technology Officer / Solution Architect
About Aster Lion
Aster Lion is a leading Corporate Services and HR Consultancy with a strong presence in Thailand and Singapore. We specialize in Employer of Record (EOR) and payroll services. To complement our established HR operations, we are developing an AI‑driven HRTech division designed to enhance operational efficiency, generate scalable recurring revenue, and strengthen long‑term company valuation through strategic technology integration.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced CTO / Solution Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of Aster Lion’s AI technology strategy. This individual will translate business objectives into technical execution, architect scalable systems, and work hands‑on in developing AI solutions that streamline HR operations and enable new digital product offerings.
You will play a central role in defining our AI roadmap — from building internal automation tools to launching a commercial SaaS platform for SMEs and enterprise clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and lead the AI initiative across three focus areas: internal AI, external AI, and commercial AI product.
- Internal AI: Automate HR operations, onboarding, payroll, and compliance workflows.
- External AI: Streamline client and employee interactions through secure, compliant data systems.
- Commercial AI Product: Build a SaaS‑based solution to generate recurring revenue, integrating HR, compliance, and workforce analytics.
- Develop the technical architecture and infrastructure for scalable AI systems, ensuring compliance with regional data privacy regulations (PDPA, GDPR, etc.).
- Digitize and structure internal SOPs to build the company’s knowledge base as a foundation for AI training and workflow automation.
- Deploy enterprise‑grade AI tools and local data hosting solutions to ensure data sovereignty and IP protection.
- Design and oversee the development of AI agents to automate repetitive tasks and augment team productivity.
- Lead MVP development (6–9 months) using internal expertise and existing workflows as a proof of concept.
- Collaborate with leadership on go‑to‑market planning, pricing models (SME subscription and enterprise solutions), and scaling strategy.
- Build and mentor a small technical team or manage outsourced developers to deliver the technical roadmap.
- Evaluate partnerships and vendor solutions (cloud, LLMs, workflow automation tools) for cost efficiency and scalability.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in technology leadership, solution architecture, or product development, ideally within HRTech, SaaS, or AI‑focused environments.
- Strong technical foundation in cloud architecture (AWS, GCP, or Azure), APIs, and AI/ML frameworks (LangChain, OpenAI API, vector databases, etc.).
- Proven experience building and scaling AI‑powered enterprise platforms or automation systems.
- Understanding of data security, compliance, and privacy standards in multi‑jurisdictional environments.
- Experience leading teams or external vendors in agile development environments.
- Ability to bridge business goals with technical execution, demonstrating both strategic foresight and hands‑on problem solving.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with an ability to thrive in lean, fast‑paced, and high‑growth environments.
What We Offer
- Opportunity to shape the core technology of a fast‑growing HR and AI platform.
- Direct collaboration with the executive leadership team across Singapore and Thailand.
- Flexible working model with potential for equity participation.
- Long‑term growth prospects as the company expands regionally.

If you’re passionate about building AI‑driven solutions that transform how businesses manage people, compliance, and growth — we’d love to speak with you.
