Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

As a member of STS trading desk, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing quantitative trading strategies across global markets with specific focus on APAC markets. You will closely work with sales and structuring to identify opportunities and with infrastructure teams to optimize and automate executions. You will drive the growth of the reinsurance business by leading pricing, risk management and ongoing oversight of reinsurance transactions.

Job responsibilities


• Partner with sales/structuring to design and deliver client-focused systematic investment/hedging solutions, driving the process from product ideation to platform implementation.


• Responsible for firm's offering in reinsurance space from risk management perspective


• Work closely with technology team to enhance risk management and execution tools with sharp focus on control aspect


• Grow business revenue and franchise for QIS products across asset classes


• Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, firm wide risk framework, and internal policies

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills


• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics or other related disciplines


• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in trading/structuring of QIS products


• Experience in pricing/structuring/risk management of reinsurance products


• Ability to collaborate with global teams on strategic initiatives and to effectively prioritize and allocate resources to maximize impact


• Strong awareness of market structure changes and the impact of regulation


• Strong communication skills, especially around complicated concepts


• Able to work in a pressured environment; tenacious & self-motivated

Quantitative Researcher as part of a small, collaborative team with a focus on equity and futures statistical arbitrage based in Asia

Location

Hong Kong, Singapore

Principal Responsibilities

  • Working alongside the PM on developing systematic trading strategies, with a primary focus on: idea generation, data gathering and research/analysis, model implementation and backtesting for systematic equity strategies with a focus on Asian market statistical arbitrage / systematic strategies
  • Combine sound financial insights and statistical learning techniques to explore, analyze, and harness a large variety of datasets in order to build strong predictive models which will be deployed to the investment process
  • Collaborate with the PM in a transparent environment, engaging with the whole investment process

Preferred Technical Skills

  • Strong research and programming skills
  • Working knowledge of Matlab/Python and SQL are necessary
  • Masters or PhD degree in a quantitative subject such as Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or related field

Preferred Experience

  • Experience as a quantitative researcher in a mid-low frequency systematic trading environment with a focus on equities and/or futures
  • Experience trading in Chinese equity markets stat arb and/or equity index futures across Asian markets
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research using large data sets
  • Candidates with quantitative development experience will be considered as well, provided they also have relevant research experience

Highly Valued Relevant Experience

  • Professional experience in a systematic trading environment (prop desk or hedge fund)
  • Product experience in statistical arbitrage strategies

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Factor research to support existing and future investment strategies.
  • Research and back-testing of new strategies and improvements to existing strategies, including data validation, data exploration, programming, analysis and presenting results.
  • Specific research projects using AI/machine learning approaches to enhance quantitative alpha or risk factors including data validation, data exploration, programming, and analysis.
  • Participate and contribute to team research projects and present updates and findings in regular internal forums.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the QS data and infrastructure platform.
  • Work closely with Quantitative Developers to ensure all tools and data sets used for the research and implementation of strategies are robust, version controlled and consistent with best practice.

  • Previous relevant experiences in quantitative research are preferred
  • Experiences in fundamental factor research and/or applying AI/machine learning methods for investment research or related fields is an advantage

Global Tax Leadership Role

Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a highly experienced Tax Manager to lead our global tax strategies, including cross-border transaction structuring and transfer pricing.
  • This role will involve designing efficient investment and tax frameworks to optimise profitability while ensuring compliance with CFC, BEPS 2.0, and regional tax regulations.
  • The successful candidate will manage corporate and indirect tax filings across multiple jurisdictions in partnership with local advisors and auditors.

About the Role:

  • Shape and lead global tax strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Design and implement effective tax planning and risk management strategies.
  • Manage and coordinate tax audits, TP reviews, and APA processes.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to influence decisions on manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and legal.
  • Stay up-to-date with global tax policy developments and assess risks to design proactive responses.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years in taxation/accounting/audit, with at least 3 years in multinational manufacturing or Big Four tax advisory.
  • Deep understanding of Singapore, China, and Taiwan tax regimes, plus global exposure.
  • Proven expertise in TP, cross-border funding, and supply chain tax planning.
  • Strong track record in managing tax audits and compliance documentation.
  • Knowledge of BEPS, Pillar Two, and international tax treaties.
  • ERP system knowledge (Oracle a plus).
  • CPA or TP certifications preferred.
  • Mandarin proficiency is a must for effective communication with Chinese stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor tax professionals to drive continuous learning and collaboration.
  • Champion tax governance, controls, and best practices across the group.
  • Identify and mitigate tax risks to ensure compliance and accuracy.
