Duties and Responsibilities

- Set up and optimize wireless networks (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee) for IoT device connectivity.
- Integrate IoT devices with central management platforms and cloud services.
2. Dashboard & Monitoring:
- Design and configure real-time dashboards for data visualization, alerting, and system health monitoring.
- Automate data collection and reporting from IoT devices.
3. Networking & Security:
- Implement basic network configurations: VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, and IP scheming for segregated IoT environments.
- Ensure security hardening of IoT devices, gateways, and networks to prevent vulnerabilities.
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues across LAN/WAN and wireless infrastructures.
4. Systems Integration:
- Support integration of IoT systems with existing IT infrastructure (e.g., Windows/Linux servers, databases).
- Collaborate with software teams for API-based device management and data pipeline setup.
5. Documentation & Compliance:
- Maintain detailed records of configurations, network topologies, and operational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., PDPA, GDPR) for IoT deployments.
Requirements:
Education:
- Diploma/Bachelor's in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, IT, or related field.
Experience:
- 2+ years in IoT system deployment (CCTV, access controls, sensors) or 3+ years in IT/networking roles with IoT exposure.
- Hands-on experience with wireless technologies (Wi-Fi 6/6E, LoRaWAN, cellular IoT) and IoT protocols (MQTT, CoAP).
- Basic systems administration (Windows/Linux CLI) and networking skills (TCP/IP, routing, VLANs).
- Familiarity with IoT platforms (e.g., AWS IoT, Azure IoT, Siemens/Bosch suites) and dashboard tools (e.g., Grafana, Node-RED).
