The WSP is called “The Catalyst Programme” which is a structured on-the-job (OJT) development WSP that allows Polytechnic Diploma holders to secure a full-time position with Singtel while pursuing a university honours degree in BEng Infrastructure and Systems Engineering. Make an Impact by

  1. Support the Engineering team in evaluating technical aspects of regional data centre expansion plans by liaising with external partners on basic technical queries and assisting with consultant onboarding.
  2. Collaborate with Product & Engineering teams to help identify and evaluate data centre technology solutions, while learning about the development of sustainability initiatives and reporting practices.
  3. Work with Product & Operations teams to coordinate and support data centre technology Proof of Concept (POC) trials.
  4. Assist with identifying potential grants or funding programs and support relevant teams in the application process.
  5. Help gather and organize industry news, updates, and research on digital infrastructure trends and data centre players in various markets.

About the Company
Our client is a globally active mining investment and operations company with strategic exploration and operational assets across West Africa and Asia. With over 100 professionals globally and a lean senior management setup in Singapore, the company manages over 50 exploration rights and two operational mines in West Africa, focusing primarily on gold and copper.
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and commercially astute
Investment & Strategy Manager
with a background in investment banking, commodities, or mining finance. This is a critical role supporting the CEO directly in evaluating the company’s portfolio of exploration and mining rights. You will drive strategic decision-making to optimize asset value—whether through acquisition, divestiture, or development.
Key Responsibilities:
Asset Evaluation & Financial Analysis
Conduct in-depth financial modeling, valuation, and scenario analysis of the company’s 70+ exploration assets in West Africa.
Provide strategic recommendations on whether to hold, divest, or acquire additional exploration rights.
Strategic Advisory
Support the CEO in shaping the company’s long-term investment strategy.
Assist in identifying JV partners, buyers, or investment opportunities aligned with the company’s goals.
Market & Sector Intelligence
Monitor global trends in gold, copper, and related commodities.
Assess geopolitical and economic risks in Asia and West Africa.
Transaction Support
Lead or support due diligence, data room preparation, and deal execution (buy-side or sell-side).
Liaise with external bankers, advisors, and legal counsel as needed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with internal geology and technical teams in Beijing and West Africa.
Collaborate with the Finance Director and other stakeholders to ensure investment feasibility and compliance.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mining Engineering, or related discipline.
5–10 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, mining finance, or strategic consulting—preferably with exposure to mining or natural resources.
Strong experience in valuation (DCF, comparables, NPV, IRR) and financial modeling.
Understanding of mining lifecycle, exploration, and operational mining economics.
Experience or familiarity with mining projects in Africa is strongly preferred.
Based in Singapore or open to relocating.
Entrepreneurial mindset, able to work independently with a lean leadership team.
Strong communication and presentation skills.

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our department as a Quantitative Strategist embedded within an investment team.
What impact can you make in this role?
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quantitative Strategist to join EIS. In this role, you will leverage data, quantitative and AI/ML methods to provide holistic and comprehensive data and evidence based insights and recommendations that drive our investment decision-making. You will conduct quantitative research and analysis to help our investment team understand the impact of various macro drivers and scenarios on the total portfolio. You will contribute to the portfolio construction and asset allocation using quantitative methods.
What will you do as a Quantitative Strategist in EIS?
  • Partner with macro strategists, investment strategists, asset class specialists and portfolio managers to conduct quantitative research and analysis throughout the investment process
  • Develop and maintain robust quantitative models and tools to support macro monitoring, market screening, idea generation, strategy backtesting, portfolio construction, asset allocation, basis management and total portfolio management
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest market trends and academic research, contributing to the department's investment strategies within the global macro space.
What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?
  • 2-6 years of professional experience in a quantitative role (e.g., quant strategist, quant researcher, actuary, risk modeler, data scientist, etc.)
  • Comprehensive understanding of Macroeconomics, Fixed Incomes instruments, Public Equities and other major asset classes
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to understand, influence, and obtain buy-in from stakeholders effectively.
  • Be highly motivated, intellectually curious and have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
