Role Responsibilities

Inuka is partnering with a renowned global asset manager and operator headquartered in Singapore. With operations spanning over 20 countries and $30.5 billion in capital deployed, the company delivers innovative solutions to tackle critical global challenges, including the energy transition, urbanisation, and digital transformation. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking an Investment Director (Private Equity) to join their Singapore team and contribute to their mission of driving impactful investments. The Investment Director (Private Equity) will play a key role in sourcing, structuring, and managing private equity investments, particularly in the renewable energy sector. This position requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in private equity, exceptional deal execution skills, and a deep understanding of renewable energy markets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing investments across multiple geographies and delivering value to both investors and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of private equity investment strategies with a focus on renewable energy and infrastructure.
Oversee all aspects of the deal lifecycle, including sourcing, due diligence, valuation, structuring, and negotiation.
Present investment opportunities and recommendations to the Investment Committee.
Monitor and manage portfolio companies, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic and financial objectives.
Develop and implement value creation plans for portfolio companies to maximise returns.
Actively participate in portfolio governance, including attending board meetings and advising management teams.
Conduct market research to identify emerging investment opportunities in renewable energy and infrastructure.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including industry leaders, financial institutions, and government bodies.
Drive business development initiatives to expand the company’s footprint in Asia-Pacific and other regions.
Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a high-performance and collaborative team culture.
Provide oversight and strategic direction to ensure successful execution of investment initiatives.
Qualifications
A minimum of 8-12 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, or a related field, with significant exposure to renewable energy investments.
Demonstrated success in sourcing and executing complex investment transactions.
Proven track record of managing and delivering value in private equity portfolios.
Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities.
Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
In-depth knowledge of renewable energy markets, particularly in Asia-Pacific.
Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
