Role Overview

Reporting to the CEO/Investment Committee, the Investment Director will originate, evaluate, execute and monitor United States or Asian (ex-China) primary-market opportunities across multiple VCC sub-funds, while leading LP engagement and partnering closely with operations to deliver best-in-class fund governance across the full lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fund & Portfolio Leadership
  • Serve as Investment Manager for multiple VCC sub-funds focused on Asia (ex-China) primary markets; lead sourcing, due diligence, structuring, execution and post-investment value creation/exit planning.
  • Drive investment theses, construct portfolio pipelines, and chair/prepare materials for Investment Committee deliberations.
  • LP Development & Capital Formation
  • Lead conversations with prospective and existing LPs; support the end-to-end pitch process (materials, DDQs, databooks, track-record analytics) and ongoing investor reporting.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership with Operation Officer
  • Work closely with the COO to provide timely information supporting fund launch/registration, tax reporting, fund accounting, audits, administrator and bank onboarding , and other events across the VCC umbrella. (VCCs in Singapore operate via a licensed/regulated fund manager; strong coordination with the LFMC is essential.)
  • Research & Market Intelligence
  • Support targeted financial-market and sector research; maintain house views on macro, liquidity, and primary-market flows across United States or Asia ex-China.
  • Risk, Compliance & GovernanceUphold MAS/LFMC standards on risk, valuation, conflicts, disclosure and reporting; ensure board-level and IC documentation is robust and auditable.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years in senior/management roles within regulated financial institutions (PE/VC, growth equity, private markets, or multi-asset AM.
  • Regulatory: Must qualify to be appointed as a Licensed Representative of the LFMC (CMS for Fund Management) under Singapore regulations.
  • Governance: Will serve as a member of the Board of Directors (as appropriate for the VCC/related entities) and participate in Investment Committee processes; high standards of fiduciary duty and conflict management required.
  • Skills: Strong origination network, rigorous investment judgment, term-sheet/structuring fluency, financial modeling, and portfolio monitoring. Excellent LP communications and fundraising support experience.
  • Collaborative DNA: Proven ability to partner with COO/ops, administrators, auditors, legal/tax counsel and other service providers to deliver smooth VCC operations.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree/professional credentials (e.g., CFA, IBF, ACCA) advantageous.
Compensation

Investment Strategy

The role focuses on guiding macro and cross-asset insights to support portfolio decisions and risk management across the Total Portfolio.
Qualifications
10 years or more experience as a macro/market strategist.
Self-starter and proactive in contributing to the team.
Strong analytical and statistical abilities; proficient with MS Office products and databases.
Able to connect macro themes and communicate clearly in writing and speech.
Good interpersonal skills. Able to work collaboratively and foster internal debate.
