What You Will Do:
- Provide support to the Company’s business in Singapore and overseas offices in the areas of international trademark filing, trademark portfolio management, copyright maintenance, and IP-related consultancy.
- Manage international trademark application, including conducting trademark clearance, communicating regularly with internal clients and overseas developers to provide the best practices for trademark filing strategies, and supervising the application, office actions, oppositions on an international basis.
- Be responsible for international trademark portfolio management, including file management and optimization, supervising trademark monitoring, oppositions and cancellations, and providing services for internal request for trademark certificates.
- Manage copyright registration when requested, support business team’s other IP-related legal request, including font, domain names, etc., and provide opinions to minimize potential IP risks.
- Collaborate with legal team on issues related to IP compliance and enforcement support.
- Provide opinions for license and trademark-related agreement.
- Work on other tasks as assigned.
What We Are Looking For:
- Graduate of a recognized law school with a degree or concentration on intellectual property.
- Strong background in trademark filing and management, particularly with US trademark management experience.
- 3-5 years of related experience in the gaming and/or tech industry, preferably a multinational corporation or a law firm with an international practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in the English language.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively and is able to communicate complex information in an accessible way.
- The following, while not requirements, will be a plus to have: Strong interest in games; familiarity with copyright law in any major jurisdiction.
