DESIGNATION : Control & Instrumentation Engineer
RESPONSIBILITIES
Supporting the Asset Management Department. This position will support the operation, maintenance, and optimization of controls systems within a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) Power Plant. The Subject Matter Expert (SME) will ensure high reliability, availability and performance of instrumentation and control systems while maintaining compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory standards.
- Serve as the technical authority for C&I assets in the plant including turbine control systems (T3000, Mark Vie), DCS, PLCs, SCADA and field instrumentation.
- Review and recommend a comprehensive maintenance strategy based on criticality assessments, integrating Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM), Preventive Maintenance (PM), and Predictive Maintenance (PdM).
- Manage the entire lifecycle of the plant's C&I assets, from acquisition to decommissioning.
- Develop strategies for effective utilisation, performance optimisation and timely upgrades or replacements.
- Design, review, and maintain control systems including gas and steam turbine generators, and auxiliary systems.
- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of C&I faults and failures.
- Support planned and unplanned outages, including scope development, contractor coordination, and testing.
- Develop Outage QC checklist and hold points to ensure critical stages of the outage are monitored.
- Develop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance strategies for C&I assets.
- Monitor and analyze C&I performance data to optimize plant efficiency and reliability.
- Interface with SCADA, DCS, and PLC systems for control and monitoring of C&I assets.
- Lead or support C&I upgrade projects, including feasibility studies and CAPEX planning.
- Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for technical support and spare parts management
- Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify reliability risks and improvement opportunities.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for both engineering functions and asset performance.
- Lead in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for complex plant issues.
- Collaborate with OEMs and vendors for technical support and upgrades.
- Oversee O&M budget and develop/ manage budgets for engineering improvement projects and asset management initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation or Control Engineering
- At least 8 years of experience in Power Generation, preferably in CCGT.
- Strong knowledge of IEC, IEEE, and NEC standards.
- Experience with Siemens V94.3 (T3000) and GE 9HA.01 (Mark Vie) control systems is essential.
- Experience with steam turbines controls and BoP systems (e.g., water treatment, fuel gas systems, cooling systems)
- Proficient in troubleshooting, loop tuning, and control logic development.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity practices for industrial control systems.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Familiar with Condition Monitoring, Predictive Maintenance, and Digital Twin Technologies.

Supervise laboratory operations to ensure precision in the calibration and testing process for the customer's equipment.
Ensure all set product quality targets are met and deviations from target quality standards are promptly identified and rectified.
Liaise with process control operatives with regards to the quality control parameters for calibration and Testing process.
Ensure preventive maintenance is carried out on laboratory equipment and practical housekeeping is conducted in the laboratories.
To support the preparation of the annual calibration schedule and ensure calibration is carried out on laboratory equipment as scheduled.
Provide overall support and strategic direction to the Sales, Technical and Quality team.
Provide periodic reports on the activities and performance of the laboratory function for the attention of the technical manager.
Perform any other duties that the technical manager may assign.
Key Duties and Responsibilities – Quality
Maintain and continuously improve the QMS in compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 17025.
Ensure document control and proper recordkeeping for policies, procedures, and work instructions.
To monitor quality objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
To ensure the lab meets all ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation requirements.
To support the accreditation audits, external assessments, and regulatory inspections.
To support and plan, execute, and document internal audits to assess compliance and identify risks.
Investigate nonconformities, implement corrective actions, and verify effectiveness.
To support the root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure personnel involved in testing and certification are qualified, trained, and competent.
Maintain training records and competency assessments.
Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to testing validity and certification decisions.
Promote continuous improvement initiatives in test methods, certification processes, and quality practices.
Implement Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) or similar methodologies where applicable.
Address customer complaints and ensure proper investigation and resolution.
Communicate quality system updates and compliance status to management.
Work with technical Leads to ensure test and certification results are accurate and reliable.
Perform any other duties that the Technical Manager may assign.
Eligibility Criteria:
Must be a Diploma / BE / B. Tech in Electrical or Electronics & Communications, or it's equivalent/above in any Engineering field.
Must have overall experience of 3 to 8+ Years
Familiar with ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 Calibration Quality System Requirements and certifications.

Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability To Work Under Pressure.
Ability To Manage Multiple Tasks and throughput tasks
Will be expected to be involved in the project at Jurong Island or overseas
Travel – 90% (Local & Oversea) within the short notice period
Able to commit to club hours, weekends and public holidays.
Rotational shift- Monday to Friday or Wednesday to Sunday.
Able to commit to irregular working hrs - 6 am to 2 pm (rotating shifts)

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Execute operational activities of the project within timeframe, resources and contract specifications
- Lead, execute and hands-on the geotechnical instrumentation installation and monitoring works
- Assist the SIE/PM to resolve site operation issues and ensure smooth delivery of project
- Involve in preparation, design and submission of drawings, reports and relevant documents to stakeholder
- Plan daily site activities, monitor project progress and work done quantity
- Ensure works are in accordance with drawing requirement. Ensure good quality of works including calibration of monitoring equipment
- Obtain any authorities' or in-house clearances before work commencement
- Coordinate with main civil contractor on the daily site works. Handle subcontractors' activities (if any)
- Involve in geotechnical instrumentation testing, data acquisition, data verification, processing and presentation
- Prepare, review and submit the instrument monitoring report
- Attend project meeting, stakeholder engagement and site inspection
- Ensure good recordkeeping and update of records
- Comply to internal and external WSHE requirement in the course of work
Other duties as may be assigned on a need basis
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Geology or other relevant background
- Minimum 1-2 years of construction experiences. Fresh graduates were welcomed
- Able to work as a team and under dynamic environment
- Accountable, meticulous and deliverable on the task assigned
