Element has an opportunity for Instrumentation Engineer for Singapore. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for assisting in designing, planning, and coordinating geotechnical instrumentation projects, scheduling control, obtaining permits for on-site installation, and setting up and commissioning monitoring
This will be a site based position in Singapore
Core Responsibilities
- Propose engineering documents for clients' approval, on-site installation and hands-on monitoring of sensors, instruments, and equipment
- Instruct supervise, manage, and monitor site personnel ensuring data processing, review , analysis, submission of reports
- Attending project meetings, schedule control, submit for permits for on-site installation, set up, and commission monitoring
- Assist in designing, planning, and coordinating geotechnical instrumentation projects, scheduling control, obtaining permits for on-site installation,and setting up and commissioning monitoring, providing input into health, safety, environmental and quality policies ensuring uptodate documentation

Skills / Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering or Geology recognised by the PE Board along with 3 years relevant experience in major infrastructure projects
- Working experience in geotechnical instrumentation and site investigation works
- Physically fit and able to withstand the challenging working conditions
- Strong and determined quality focus with indefatigable determination to get the job done under the most challenging conditions
- Self-motivated team player with excellent organisational and communication skills

Scope of Work
Site work will involve installing structural, ground, and environmental monitoring systems in accordance with construction drawings and design specifications. Installation, programming and commissioning data loggers and telemetry devices; maintaining installation records and promoting a safe workplace with zero harm.
Office & Site based work will involve following roles and responsibilities
· Able to coordinate and lead a team of instrumentation engineers and other technical officers to manage geotechnical instrumentation works such as instrument installation and monitoring works.
· Oversee all instrumentation works including the production of method statements, project quality plan, calibration, installation, data acquisition, data verification, data processing, web database, data presentation and reporting. He shall ensure that all monitoring data are correct.
· Shall be responsible for preparing all necessary reports as specified in the Contracts documents.
· Design, set up and maintenance of Instrumentation database
· Ensuring works are in accordance with approved project quality plan
- Providing input into health, safety, environmental and quality documentation
- Preparing instruments, materials and tools for site work

Job Description
Element has an opportunity for an Senior Instrumentation Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team, the Engineer position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision.
This role is based in Singapore.
Core Responsibilities
- Propose engineering documents for clients' approval, on-site installation and hands-on monitoring of sensors, instruments, and equipment
- Instruct supervise, manage, and monitor site personnel ensuring data processing, review , analysis, submission of reports
- Attending project meetings, schedule control, submit for permits for on-site installation, set up, and commission monitoring
- Assist in designing, planning, and coordinating geotechnical instrumentation projects, scheduling control, obtaining permits for on-site installation,and setting up and commissioning monitoring, providing input into health, safety, environmental and quality policies ensuring uptodate documentation
- Liaise and coordinate with client for installation and monitoring issues while overseeing all instrumentation works including production of method statements, project quality plan, calibration, installation, data acquisition, data verification, data processing, web database, data presentation, update of instrumentation drawings and reporting
- Shall be responsible for preparing all necessary reports as specified in the contract's documents and client submission
Skills / Qualifications
- Possess a Degree in Geotechnical Engineering with at least 5 years of working experience
- Working knowledge of laboratory safety
- Possess a high level of expertise related to scope, core theories, concepts, terminologies and boundaries of chosen engineering discipline
- Possesses a demonstrated ability to apply academic knowledge within the context of Element's business
- In-depth understanding of testing concepts
- Can analyze and compiles testing data from the tests performed
- Possess strong computer skills
