- Clinical Duties: You will perform various clinical duties such as medication management, post-surgical wound management, insertion of nasogastric tubes, and care of Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG) tubes and dressings.
- Wound Management: You will manage Stage I to Stage IV wounds, including urinary catheter care and change of female urinary catheters, tracheostomy care and dressing, stoma care – colostomy and ileostomy care, and care of nephrostomy tubes and dressings.
- Assistance with Bowel Elimination: You will assist with bowel elimination procedures, such as enemas or insertion of suppositories, as ordered by medical personnel.
- Post-Procedural Medication Administration: You will administer post-procedural medications, as ordered by medical personnel, to clients who are not enrolled in the centre's day care programs and are living alone or unable to take medication on their own.
- Precepting New Staff: You will precept new staff in clinical matters, ensuring they receive comprehensive training and support.
- Audit Support: You will provide audit support, assisting in the review and improvement of clinical processes and protocols.
Requirements:
- Education: A minimum of a Diploma in nursing is required.
- Registration: Registered nurses with SNB registration are preferred.
