Overview
We are looking for an experienced Infra Support Engineer to manage patching activities and technology upgrades across OS, Middleware, and Database environments. The candidate must have strong hands-on experience in Linux and SQL, with the ability to troubleshoot issues, support application teams, and ensure timely and smooth patching cycles.
Responsibilities
Manage and execute patching activities and technology upgrades (OS, Middleware, and Database).
Perform timely server patching/upgrades and escalate or seek team assistance when required.
Use Linux commands and analyze system/application logs to identify and resolve errors.
Work closely with Application teams to advise on pre- and post-patching checks.
Run basic SQL queries to validate DB performance and stability after patching.
Ensure compliance with security, performance, and reliability requirements during patch cycles.
Document patching activities, procedures, and issue resolutions.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
Proven experience in managing patching and tech upgrades for OS, Middleware, and Databases.
Proficiency in Linux administration and log analysis.
Strong understanding of SQL with ability to run performance check queries.
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Minimum of 4 years of Infra Support experience.
Nice to Have
Experience with automation tools for patching and monitoring.
Knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, and Problem management).
Exposure to cloud or hybrid infrastructure environments.

• Draft metal work profiles according to project requirements

• Create detailed drawings to scale for production purposes

Roles & Responsibilities.

• To review all Authority's and Contractor's drawings

• To supervise all Civil, Structural and Geotechnical building works, both permanent and temporary

• To review Contractor's design and submission and supervise all works associated with Civil and Structural works

• To ensure that contractor had obtained all necessary permits (NOA, NOC, POWS, TM approval, PTD, PTW, etc) and clearance to work

• To conduct site inspection and ensure that contractor(s) implement corrective actions and timely preventive/mitigation measures whenever necessary

• To ensure proper coordination among Contractor, AC, QP(D), relevant agencies, including interfacing contractors and consultants etc. for the works

• To review formwork structure, formwork support systems prior to concreting works and ensure the formworks erected are PE endorsed with Certificate of Supervision (COS) issued

• To upkeep safety, environmental and health matters while working at a construction site

• To supervise the installation/decommissioning of instrumentation

• To review the monitoring data and ensure the Civil and Structural works do not have huge impact on surrounding structures

• To ensure daily register of Request for Information (RIN) for the works and proper documentation are in-placed during the entire construction/reinstatement phase

• To participate in routine audits by the Authority/Developer, join in all joint inspections and safety site walks

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project claims, preparing engineering drawings, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, coordination skills, and proficiency in drafting and GIS software.

• Prepare and submit work verification and payment claims to clients.
• Liaise with project engineers, coordinators, and supervisors to gather documentation for claims processing.
• Manage the full cycle of claim resolution and follow-up until full payment is received.
• Review contract terms for compliance and identify potential risks.
• Communicate with subcontractors to review and verify their claims and invoices.
• Prepare underground pipe-laying and cable-laying survey drawings using ArcGIS and submit to MEA.
