Overview
We are looking for an experienced Infra Support Engineer to manage patching activities and technology upgrades across OS, Middleware, and Database environments. The candidate must have strong hands-on experience in Linux and SQL, with the ability to troubleshoot issues, support application teams, and ensure timely and smooth patching cycles.
Responsibilities- Manage and execute patching activities and technology upgrades (OS, Middleware, and Database).
- Perform timely server patching/upgrades and escalate or seek team assistance when required.
- Use Linux commands and analyze system/application logs to identify and resolve errors.
- Work closely with Application teams to advise on pre- and post-patching checks.
- Run basic SQL queries to validate DB performance and stability after patching.
- Ensure compliance with security, performance, and reliability requirements during patch cycles.
- Document patching activities, procedures, and issue resolutions.
- Proven experience in managing patching and tech upgrades for OS, Middleware, and Databases.
- Proficiency in Linux administration and log analysis.
- Strong understanding of SQL with ability to run performance check queries.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Minimum of 4 years of Infra Support experience.
- Experience with automation tools for patching and monitoring.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, and Problem management).
- Exposure to cloud or hybrid infrastructure environments.
