RESPONSIBILITIES

This role serves as the infrastructure architecture subject matter expert (SME) within IAG. The individual is accountable for developing enterprise-ready architecture patterns, governing lifecycle practices, embedding compliance, and driving modernization of Mediacorp's infrastructure platforms.

The role ensures all infrastructure solutions across on-premise, cloud, and multi-cloud are secure, scalable, cost-optimized, and compliant with regulatory and enterprise requirements.

Scope of the role

Infrastructure Architecture Standards

  • Define, publish, and maintain reference architectures and reusable infra design templates.
  • Provide architecture reviews and design validation for infrastructure projects.

Lifecycle & Technology Governance

  • Maintain infra lifecycle register (EOL/EOS).
  • Drive modernization and tech debt reduction plans in collaboration with Infra Ops.

Security & Compliance Alignment

  • Embed Information Security Office (ISO) compliance and audit requirements into infra design.
  • Ensure architecture decisions align with corporate risk, security, and audit frameworks.

Innovation & Modernization

  • Lead R&D and proof-of-concepts for emerging technologies (e.g., AIOps, Zero Trust, AI infra readiness).
  • Translate technology trends into enterprise-ready patterns for adoption.

Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

  • Partner with Infra Ops, PMO, and ISO to ensure projects align with architecture standards.
  • Mentor engineers, transferring infra design knowledge and building IAG's technical depth

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as infra SME for hybrid cloud, compute, storage, and network design.
  • Own enterprise infra architecture patterns and decision records.
  • Deliver quarterly lifecycle/tech debt risk reports and modernization roadmap updates.
  • Ensure infra projects meet secure-by-design and compliance standards.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and provide recommendations on integration of new technologies.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • Certifications preferred:
    • Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
    • AWS Solutions Architect Professional
    • TOGAF or equivalent Enterprise Architecture certification
    • FinOps Certified Practitioner
    • ITIL Foundation or above
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Proven experience working as a Manager/Lead for DevOps or similar role in a leadership capacity, leading and mentoring a team of engineers
  • Lead the planning, implementation and management of cloud infrastructure and operations. To build and maintain infrastructure with scalability and high availability
  • Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure management (AWS and Azure) and cloud security best practices

**Responsibilities**
+ Attract, develop, coach, and evaluate CSAs by setting a clear bar for excellence. Build a high performing team that will be diverse and inclusive with a typical team size of 10+ employees. Coaches team to plan portfolio growth and utilizes portfolio plans to build industry/team plan, leveraging own expertise and hands-on experiences.
+ Are a strategic partner to executive-level business and technical decision makers (e.g., C-level, school system leaders) to guide customers in defining and realizing their digital and business transformational targets. Leverages expertise in relationship building and influencing to mentor team in building strategic partnerships.
+ Coach and enable your team to accelerate Azure projects to production, including guidance on architectural design, technical recommendations, blocker escalations and technical resource orchestration. Lead team to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual team targets. Lead team to actively engage accounts to drive services consumption and up-sell and cross-sell based on strategic plans and needs.
+ Lead team to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual team targets and accurately forecast, assess risk, and identify exceptional performance plans in weekly deal and pipeline reviews with senior management.
+ Support and enables team to drive customer change and optimization of change management by applying deep knowledge of change management principles, creating influence strategies with senior decision makers to scale change across organizational boundaries, and articulating alignment between customer culture and digital transformation.
**Qualifications**
**Required Qualifications:**
+ 8+ years experience in technical architect, technical consulting, design and implementation, and/or technical sales
+ OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years experience in technical architect, technical consulting, design and implementation, and/or technical sales
+ OR Relevant certifications from Microsoft or competitive platforms AND 5+ years experience in technical architect, technical consulting, design and implementation, and/or technical sales
+ OR equivalent experience
+ 2+ years cross-team lead experience
+ 3+ years people management experience
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years experience in technical architect, consulting, design and implementation, and/or sales
+ OR equivalent experience
+ AZ 104 + AZ 303/304 or AZ305 (or equivalent of other platform certs (AWS, GCP), OR required within first 3 months of start date

Make assessment of the video encoder quality, either in house design or licensed IP.
Work with IC design team to resolve the issues during design phase.
Create test plan for the video encoder and decoder and qualify the design.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering with IC design background
Familiar with video compression technology, such as MPEG4, H264, H265, MPEG5, etc.
