The ADVANcing Clinical Evidence in Infectious Diseases Network is seeking a skilled and experienced Clinical Trial Project Manager to oversee the coordination and implementation of the ACORN-HAI study. This multi-centre, international project aims to improve public health by developing the clinical evidence base for the prevention and treatment of drug-resistant infections.
The successful candidate will lead and manage day-to-day operations across multiple international sites, develop and maintain project plans, timelines, risk logs, and deliverables. They will also coordinate with site investigators, research teams, and partner institutions for study implementation.
This role requires a strong understanding of clinical research regulations, GCP, and ethical principles. The ideal candidate will possess excellent project management, organisational, and communication skills, as well as experience in antimicrobial resistance (AMR), microbiology, or surveillance studies.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the ACORN-HAI study across multiple international sites.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, risk logs, and deliverables to ensure smooth trial start-up and execution.
- Coordinate with site investigators, research teams, and partner institutions for study implementation.
- Support sites in obtaining and maintaining ethics and regulatory approvals.
- Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), local regulations, and institutional SOPs.
- Oversee and support local teams in participant recruitment, site monitoring, and data quality assurance.
- Facilitate regular communication and collaboration between clinical sites, microbiology labs, and data centres.
- Contribute to regional training and development initiatives aimed at strengthening microbiology and clinical research capabilities.
- Support the development of SOPs, manuals, and training materials.
- Ensure adherence to study protocols and timely resolution of queries and deviations.
- Conduct or support site monitoring visits and audits as required.
- Work with data management and IT teams to support electronic data capture (EDC) platforms, data integrity, and secure sharing processes.
- Track and report project metrics to stakeholders and funders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Public Health, Nursing, Pharmacy, or related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience managing or coordinating clinical research projects, ideally in a multi-country or infectious diseases setting.
- Strong understanding of clinical research regulations, GCP, and ethical principles.
- Excellent project management, organisational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and across diverse, multi-disciplinary, and multicultural teams.
- Experience in antimicrobial resistance (AMR), microbiology, or surveillance studies is a plus.

The Internal Medicine referral service is run by Dr Anne-Claire Duchaussoy, DVM CEAV Internal Medicine, Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. We diagnose and treat numerous conditions including, digestive, pancreatic, hepatic, urinary, renal, endocrine and infectious diseases.

• Attend daily inpatient rounds at start and end of shift
• Consultations of day emergency patients
• Performing diagnostics
• Referring cases back to respective referral clinics where appropriate
• Perform TFAST and AFAST ultrasounds for emergency patients
• Create and recommend treatment plans for emergency patients
• Update patient information in medical records with the latest findings and treatments
• Order diagnostic tests (x rays, blood tests, ultrasounds, endoscopies, CT scans, MRI scans) for their cases when appropriate
• Review and interpret diagnostic test results
• Prescribe pharmaceuticals based on diagnostic results and physical exam findings
• Communicate with patient owners regarding their care and well-being
• Provide updates and discharge summaries to referring veterinarians
• Work with the emergency and specialty teams
• Assist with transfers to the appropriate specialists
