Job Description
The Learning Support Team is a highly logistical function within the organisation. The role of the LST is to oversee day-to-day responsibilities for the department, resources, operationas support, learner's registrations and to also assists with the creation of the desired learning environment and the management of logistics and equipment.
· Ensure sufficient assessment session timeframe being allocated as based on the number of learners
· Engage and maintain a healthy collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and vendors
· Maintain training facilities and conditions of the available equipment
· Familiar with course information
· Assist with course enquiries and registrations
· Check and track learners' attendance and assessment results
· Monitor and evaluate training programs, processes and workflows for quality and effectiveness; make recommendations for improvement.
· Ensure that programmes and activities are carried out as per the set curriculum
· Familiarize with all the available modes of payment SOP (SkillsFuture Claim submission, NTUP UTAP reimbursement, PSEA Withdrawal, NETS or PAYNOW)
· Able to explain the funding structures, pedagogy and programmes offered
· Ensure all documents are handled with PDPA in mind
· Upload soft copies of the post-class documents to Microsoft Teams and physical copies to the relevant teams for checking

Work with the therapists, pediatrician and psychologist, teachers, parents and principals to discuss child’s learning needs and to profile learning needs of children to be referred
Support teacher to support children with learning and developmental needs within classroom setting
Screen children referred for learning and developmental issues by teachers in ordinary preschool setting
Present screening outcome to clinical team during case filter meetings.
Design IEP and provide packages to children with mild developmental needs
Follow through with IEP goals after therapist team completed their therapy.

JOB REQUIREMENT
Possess a Specialist Diploma in Early Childhood Learning Support
3-5 years early childhood teaching experience(additional experience in EIPIC or Special Education setting is an advantage)
Have significant interest in mainstream inclusion and implementation of early intervention strategies.
Training in SPED or early intervention methodologies is an added advantage
Passionate about teaching preschoolers in different contexts and situations with the view to enhance and motivate their interest to learn
Good communicator and possess excellent interpersonal skills

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Learning Support Officer (LSO) plays a vital role in supporting the curriculum and enhancing the overall learning experience for students with special needs. LSO works closely with teachers and other school personnel to facilitate effective learning, contribute to programme delivery, and ensure smooth operational support.
The LSO will assist teachers in the preparation, adaptation, and implementation of instructional materials across various learning domains. By supporting differentiated classroom activities, LSO helps cater to the diverse needs and learning profiles of students. In addition, the LSO will be involved in monitoring student progress and collecting evidence for assessments, including contributions to Integrated Curriculum activities.
In the area of co-curricular activities (CCA), the LSO will assist in the planning and running of sessions, ensuring that students are meaningfully engaged and supported throughout. The LSO will also coordinate the logistical aspects of CCAs, such as tracking attendance and preparing materials for both regular sessions and enrichment programmes.
A key part of the LSO's role involves resource development. The LSO will be responsible for curating, designing, and producing a wide range of teaching and learning materials, including visual aids, worksheets, and digital content tailored to the needs of the students. The LSO will also take on the filming, editing, and compilation of educational or event-related videos for use within the school. To support staff, the LSO will maintain a well-organised digital resource library.
Data collection and analysis is another important area of responsibility. The LSO will support the collection and organisation of student assessment data as well as behavioural observations. The LSO will assist in generating basic data reports, which will be used to inform curriculum reviews, Individualised Education Plan (IEP) discussions, and planning for behavioural interventions.
Lastly, the LSO will provide administrative and operational support for various school programmes, events, and curriculum projects. This includes liaising with the operations team to coordinate scheduling, venue arrangements, and preparation of necessary resources. The LSO will also ensure that key documents such as assessment records are accurately maintained and properly recorded.
Job Responsibilities

- Supporting Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) by helping plan, run, and supervise sessions that promote students' interests and strengths.
- Assisting in the implementation of school-wide programmes such as thematic learning weeks, student showcases, and community-based learning.
- Working alongside teachers and allied professionals (e.g., therapists, psychologists) to observe and document students' behavioural, social, and emotional development.
- Assisting with the collection and basic analysis of behaviour data to support team-based decision making and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies.
- Supporting student participation during out-of-class learning, community-based instruction, or enrichment activities.
- Engage in school-organised training sessions to enhance understanding of special education practices, communication strategies, behaviour support, and use of assistive technology.
- Develop skills in relevant tools such as video editing software (e.g., iMovie, Canva, Adobe Premiere), data entry systems, and learning management platforms.
- Participate in regular team meetings and reflection sessions with teachers and school leaders to align support strategies with curriculum and school goals.
- Observe and learn from teaching and therapy professionals to deepen practical knowledge in areas such as differentiated instruction, classroom management, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Stay updated on new approaches to inclusive education and learning resource design to contribute more meaningfully to school initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
