Job Holder Requirements

ACTA/ACLP certified is advantageous but not mandatory.
Substantial experience (8+ years) working directly with persons with disabilities and alongside sector professionals such as SPED educators and allied health practitioners.
Proven track record in the design and delivery of high-quality, evidence-based training interventions and learning development activities, across both face-to-face and digital platforms.
Strong experience in developing competency-based learning programmes and interventions, particularly in the field of disability and special education.

The Kindergarten and Elementary school are seeking enthusiastic and experienced Learning Support Assistants to join our growing Inclusive Education and Therapy Team. The successful candidates will have a passion for inclusion and supporting all students to meet their individual potential. They will work with our Learning Support teacher to provide intervention and support for students under the direction of the classroom teacher. They will also be part of our wider team developing inclusive provisions and therapies.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a growing team in an inclusive international school. You will have the opportunity to work alongside and learn from on-site professionals including Speech & Language, Occupational Therapy and Social-emotional Learning Specialists.
Position requirements:
- As part of the Inclusive Education and Therapy Team, you may work across the Kindy and Elementary schools to support multiple students with wide-ranging needs and abilities. This may include direct work to support students on a 1:1 or small group basis.
- Supervision of children on the playground. Some basic personal care and toileting duties.
- Experience in an International School setting is preferred, but not essential.
- Experience in supporting children with mild-moderate additional learning needs and Autism is required. Where candidates have experience in supporting students within an Early Intervention model, this would be advantageous.
- The role requires excellent communication skills, time management and adaptability. You should be a patient and empathetic early educator who is passionate about providing a nurturing learning environment.
- Working collaboratively and participating in the wider school community is essential. You will be expected to attend all staff meetings and professional development sessions as required.
- Experience supporting English as an Additional Language (EAL) learners is preferred.
