A seasoned professional in heating, ventilation and air-conditioning system design is required to spearhead our RHVAC projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing refrigeration, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems, conducting site project surveys, inspections and cost estimations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing materials listings, drawings, installations, testing and commissioning. Additionally, they will closely work with the Commercial & Sales Department and the Operation Department on projects that require their involvement.
The role also entails preparation of quotations for RHVAC projects, providing technical support to field works and undertaking heat load calculations and air duct system designs.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Designing of refrigeration, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems
- Conducting site project surveys, inspections and cost estimations
- Preparing materials listings, drawings, installations, testing and commissioning
- Providing technical support to field works
- Closely working with the Commercial & Sales Department and the Operation Department on relevant projects

To be considered for this position, applicants must possess the following qualifications:
- Education:
- Tertiary education in an engineering discipline
- Experience:
- At least 2 years' working experience in RHVAC systems, preferably in the marine industry
- Skills:
- Has in-depth knowledge of refrigeration cycle theory, line components, circuit flushing, refrigerant recovery, pressure testing and vacuuming
- Good written and verbal communication and coaching skills

- Establish project team, project name, number, and document files.
- Work with the main building contractor's master schedule.
- Check and review system design and specifications for compliance and performance.
- Appoint sub-contractors for different trades and establish their scope of work and liabilities.
- Manage and set up the allocated site office and storage.
- Submit shop drawings, equipment delivery schedule, and material samples to the main contractor for approval.
- Plan and monitor equipment delivery to the job site.
- Participate in job-site meetings, including technical and nominated sub-contract (NSC) coordination meetings.

- Establish a maintenance service program during the Defects Liability period.
- Prepare overall project reports.
- Work with department heads to prepare budgets and forecasts and complete the annual budget on time.
- Prepare financial and statistical reports.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the superior.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in project handling, preferably dealing with air-conditioning, chiller, or HVAC systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
