Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Human Resources or relevant business related discipline

Previous experience in a similar role providing strategic and tactical advice to Leaders

Experience in a manufacturing or semiconductor environment

Relevant experience in supporting Leaders and has a passion for empowering Leaders to build a high performing culture

Possessed excellent negotiation, influencing, persuasion and problem-solving skills

Excellent verbal and written communication

Approachable, resilient, and agile to change

Your role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Business Partner to join our team in Singapore. This role will serve as the local HRBP for employees based in Singapore across multiple functions (regional and global) and will also support regional coordination and topics for teams spread across Southeast Asia, Korea, and APAC. The ideal candidate will be a trusted advisor to business leaders, ensuring alignment of HR strategies with business objectives while driving employee engagement and operational excellence.

Main responsibilities
  • Local HR Business Partnering (Singapore):
    • Act as the primary HR contact for employees and managers based in Singapore across SEA-Korea wholesale teams, corporate functions and global teams.
    • Provide guidance on HR policies, employee relations, performance management, and talent development.
    • Partner with managers on workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies.
    • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and company policies.
  • Regional HR Support (SEA & Korea):
    • Collaborate with the Senior HRBP on regional HR projects and initiatives, including talent management, engagement programs, and organizational development for the corporate function teams.
    • Coordinate HR processes across SEA and Korea, ensuring consistency and alignment with global and regional strategies.
    • Support change management and communication for key HR programs.
  • Employee Engagement & Culture:
    • Drive employee engagement initiatives and activities for Singapore-based employees to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
    • Partner with leaders to implement recognition programs, well-being initiatives, and team-building activities.
    • Gather and analyze employee feedback to recommend actions that enhance engagement and retention.
Main requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of HR experience, including at least 2 years in an HRBP or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience in a regional or multi-country HR role is a plus.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrix environment.

You will also assume ownership of all operational aspects of HR (except payroll) for employees based in Singapore, ensuring quality delivery through the HR COEs and Shared Services teams.   • Partner with leadership teams to build and deliver ambitious and disruptive talent plans which includes robust succession planning to future proof the business, resourcing for our biggest opportunities at pace, a strong proactive pipeline of talent and creating exciting, accelerated career path for people which accelerates their development. This will include ongoing collaboration with the global Functions HR BPs and HR BPs within SEA as well as in other markets.

  • Lead the Organization Effectiveness agenda grounded in the BU strategy, resulting in game changing performance, business effectiveness and injecting the right reinvestments. You will drive change leadership across business units by pulling the levers of capability, process, ways of working, culture and leadership to deliver the outcomes for the business.

  • Drive inclusion and diversity agenda across all HR levers (talent, reward, culture, learning, etc.) that creates an inclusive culture where each employee feel valued for their uniqueness and can maximize their impact.

  • Build high performing teams, coaching line managers to create an agile, stretching and focused performance culture to enable outstanding performance and fulfilling employee experiences collaborating with HR shared service teams and our Centers of Excellence

  • Instill a continuous learning culture, ensuring employees have access to stretching experiences and great learning content that fuels constant growth in their capabilities and our business performance.

  • Deliver employee engagement, inclusion and wellbeing agendas for Singapore as a location to build a sense of pride and belonging in Diageo Singapore employees.

  • You will be engaged to deliver projects with a scope beyond Singapore and covering SEA markets. You will deliver these projects in partnership with HRBPs of the respective BUs/ locations.



What We Are Looking For

  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant working experience in a large matrix organization

  • Independent, driven self-starter with the ability to demonstrate deep personal accountability for superior performance.

  • Experience in a HR business partner capacity

  • Prior experience in compensation, employee engagement, organizational change and talent management would be advantageous

  • Ability to influence, challenge and motivate across the organization and partnering with stakeholders across all levels.

  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people to enable them to achieve their goals

  • Eye for detail, ability to plan well and results focus would be key for success

Fidelity's HR team in the Asia Pacific Region is composed of a dedicated group of professionals, including HR Business Partners, Talent specialists, Compensation & Benefits experts, and an HR Support team. Together, we collaborate to deliver comprehensive HR services to business colleagues throughout the Region.

About Your Role

Based in Singapore, the HRBP role involves collaborating with the Head of HR, APAC to deliver proactive, innovative, and business-focused HR solutions that enhance value for the distribution client groups in Singapore and Southeast Asia. They will also operate independently, manage the day-to-day HR activities across the entire employee lifecycle and work closely with other HR colleagues and Centres of Expertise teams in the region to ensure global consistency while addressing local requirements. As the country HR business partner, you will have oversight for all aspects of human resources for our people in Singapore. You will collaborate with Singapore leadership team to develop HR strategies aligned with our business goals and foster a positive workplace culture and engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop an understanding of Fidelity and its context and use these insights to tailor solutions to meet organisational needs now and in the future.
  • Support and work with the Head of HR, APAC to help deliver the most efficient HR services to the client group that are aligned to the business goals and overall organisational strategy.
  • Provide HR insights and solutions in close collaboration with regional HR, and global HR teams as appropriate to ensure HR advice and services are consistent with goals and directions.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employees and managers with queries/advice on policy and issues.
  • Support and coach line managers to identify potential issues and implement appropriate and timely resolution of such matters, ensuring solutions are consistent with organisational strategy and in line with local legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Coach and build capability of managers to handle situations with skill rather than managing the issue for them.
  • Support the Head of HR in the resolution of more complex ER issues.
  • Advise managers on organisational design and manage involuntary terminations where appropriate.
  • Train and coach managers to manage performance on an ongoing basis and to have honest and open performance conversations, with a focus on constructive and honest communications between employees and managers.
  • Proactively review existing policies and procedures and make recommendations on continuing, modifying, or eliminating particular policies or procedures to reflect changes in legislation or to support business goals.
  • Develop a sound understanding of Fidelity's remuneration philosophy and framework.
  • In conjunction with the reward team, undertake market reviews of compensation and work with the business to ensure the efficient management of the end of year compensation review process.
  • Advise and support managers in relation to their compensation recommendations, maintaining objectivity and fairness at all times and ensuring accuracy of data throughout the process.
  • In conjunction with Talent Development, work with managers to ensure regular talent discussions take place as part of management meetings, and development plans are in place for talent pipeline.
  • Support and coach managers to have honest conversations with their people about their strengths, limitations, development needs and career aspirations.
  • Support talent mapping and talent data gathering.
  • Partner with managers to identify training and development needs for employees both in terms of management development, soft skills and operational/technical skills.
  • Partner with managers to implement development, deployment and career management processes.
  • Recommend and facilitate suitable learning options to meet individual and team requirements, considering appropriate delivery channels.
  • Manage the end to end recruitment process, including coaching managers to identify the required skills and capabilities to deliver future and current work, advising managers on recruitment strategy, on drafting JDs and reviewing organisation structures, and on proposed compensation for the role, liaising with recruitment consultants as required.
  • Support the Head of HR in all senior hires, ensuring an efficient and timely service is provided.
  • Provide support to managers in the induction and on-boarding of new staff, focusing on engaging with Fidelity's culture.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Work with Asia Pacific HR Support to ensure a seamless service to employees and managers and to ensure that all employee documentation is accurate and in good order.
  • Responsible for producing regular and ad hoc reporting requests, such as Board reports, headcount, open positions.
  • Work with the HR support team to ensure changes are made accurately on the HR database system and various HR reports in a timely manner.
