Job Summary
Independently provide support in functional areas of human resources including but not limited to recruitment and employment, personnel records, employee and/or labor relations, job evaluation, wage and salary administration, benefits administration, organizational development, training, AA/EEO, and special projects. Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures and their dissemination through employee handbooks, communications, and/or meetings. Prepare reports in conformance with legislated requirements or organization needs.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Support in all functional areas
- Employee relations – Responsible for communication and interpretation of HR policies and procedures. Coaches/consults with managers and employees on issues including: performance, terminations, sexual harassment, discrimination, etc. Coordinates all employee activities/programs. Interprets and complies with all state and federal laws.
- Compensation – Monitors and approves applicable salary increases; checks to see that they are within guidelines. Conducts preliminary job analysis and creates job descriptions of non-benchmark positions through a job evaluation process.
- Benefits – Communicates and interprets all benefit changes and policies. Educates associates about their benefits and coordinates open enrollment periods. Researches and resolves associate’s benefit problems and questions.
- Recruitment/Selection – Assists managers in conducting needs analysis. Tracks open positions. Sources candidate from both internal and external sources. Interviews and screens candidates for open positions. Expedites and coordinates internal transfers.
- HRIS Reporting – Compiles statistical reports for departments. Has working knowledge of many software packages.
- Project Management – Participates in team projects that address strategic initiatives as directed by the HR Manager.
- Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
- Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
- Must have experience working in the manufacturing industry.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software.
- Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages.
- Ability to write simple correspondence. Read and understand visual aid.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

The HR Generalist will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR support for a specialized building services design project. This role requires an experienced professional who can align HR operations with project goals, ensuring optimal resource planning, talent management, and employee engagement throughout the project lifecycle. The candidate will act as the key HR point of contact for project teams, supporting both strategic and day-to-day HR functions within a fast-paced consultancy environment. This includes the planning, organisation and coordination of tasks and functions performed by the Leader. It also includes an element of support to the management team of Arup together with attending to other staff needs.
This role provides an initial point of contact, information and coordination of communication for both internal and external clients and staff.
The Opportunity
- Working in partnership with Project Directors and Managers to fulfil the resourcing requirements for the project through the various design phases to ensure timely delivery of the project requirements for the client.
- Strong focus on international mobility to bring key leaders and specialist staff to Singapore, covering end to end assignment management for their short-term and long-term assignments, including immigration requirements.
- To deliver effective HR assistance to the nominated Leader. You will be expected to work under minimal supervision in this responsibility and may be involved in developing events, activities and internal projects of some complexity
- Work with the Talent Acquisition team & support the recruitment process and onboarding of project-specific roles. Coordinate with hiring managers to forecast manpower needs for the project.
- Serve as the primary HR liaison for the project team, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and facilitating a healthy team culture.
- You will be required to work with minimal supervision in delivering your remit and will be accountable for submitting high quality work with required timeframes and standards. You are responsible for checking the quality and accuracy of your own and others’ work.
- To liaise across the region and, on occasion, outside of the region in relation to arranging meetings, travel, long-term assignment, participating in projects and developing presentations and/or communications packages.
- You will be organised and efficient when carrying out tasks to meet set deadlines.
- Liaison with key personnel/others within the region to ensure timely delivery of information required to meet internal and external (client) deadlines and priorities.
- Liaison with key personnel regionally and globally in relation to project business matters.
- Time and diary management, including flexibility in adjusting schedules to meet priority situations.
- Planning and arranging meetings, including follow-up with expected attendees to ensure adequate preparation and ensuring agenda and minutes are correctly prepared.
- Arranging international and domestic travel in line with Arup’s policies and procedures.
- Contact and liaison with clients and other stakeholders to assist the Leader to promote and facilitate their relevant activities
- Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Atleast 6 to 8 years of HR generalist experience, ideally within the consultancy, engineering or professional services firm.
- Proven ability to manage HR functions in a project-based or consultancy environment.
- Strong grasp of HRIS platforms, MS Office, and project/resource planning tools.
- Familiarity with engineering/design consultancy workflows is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

The HR Generalist will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR support for a specialized building services design project. This role requires an experienced professional who can align HR operations with project goals, ensuring optimal resource planning, talent management, and employee engagement throughout the project lifecycle. The candidate will act as the key HR point of contact for project teams, supporting both strategic and day-to-day HR functions within a fast-paced consultancy environment. This role provides an initial point of contact, information and coordination of communication for both internal and external clients and staff.
The Opportunity
Working in partnership with Project Directors and Managers to fulfil the resourcing requirements for the project through the various design phases to ensure timely delivery of the project requirements for the client.
Strong focus on international mobility to bring key leaders and specialist staff to Singapore, covering end to end assignment management for their short-term and long-term assignments, including immigration requirements.
