Role Overview: As the Assistant Director of Healthcare Services at the Muslimin Trust Fund Association (MTFA), you will provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality, compassionate renal care across our Kidney Care Centre network. You will oversee clinical operations, nursing workforce development, and compliance with regulatory and professional standards, all while upholding MTFA's mission of serving the community with dignity and care.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Clinical Operations & Service Delivery

  • Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day nursing operations across MTFA's Kidney Care Centres.
  • Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality, and patient-centered renal care services across all clinical sites.
  • Implement evidence-based nursing practices and clinical protocols that support positive patient outcomes.
  • Maintain full compliance with MOH regulations, SNB standards, and internal clinical governance policies.
  • Continuously evaluate clinical workflows and implement service improvements to enhance care delivery and patient experience.

2. Strategic Planning & Development

  • Work with senior leadership to develop strategic plans that align with MTFA's vision and mission.
  • Analyse operational processes and recommend improvements for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality of care.
  • Contribute to the development of new care models and nursing-led initiatives that enhance chronic disease management and preventive care.

3. Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and support a multidisciplinary team of nursing professionals, managers, and other staff.
  • Oversee nursing manpower planning, performance management, and professional development.
  • Cultivate a values-driven work environment that promotes accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning.

4. Stakeholder & Partnership Engagement

  • Build and maintain effective partnerships with allied health professionals, regulatory bodies, and healthcare institutions.

  • Ensure compliance with all clinical, legal, and professional regulations governing nursing and patient care services.
  • Assist in preparing and managing clinical budgets, resource planning, and cost optimisation.
  • Oversee documentation, audit processes, and clinical reporting to ensure transparency, governance, and alignment with MTFA's standards.

6. Quality Improvement & Crisis Response

  • Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives and implement systems to monitor clinical effectiveness and patient satisfaction.
  • Identify areas for operational enhancement and lead the adoption of best practices in renal nursing and chronic disease care.
  • Establish and maintain protocols for clinical incident management, infection control, and emergency response across all clinics.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Registered Nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing is required; Postgraduate qualifications in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Management are preferred.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of relevant nursing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Experience in renal care, dialysis services, or chronic disease management will be a strong advantage.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across multiple sites and service areas.
  • In-depth knowledge of clinical governance, healthcare regulations, and risk management practices.
