RESPONSIBILITIES
· To porter clients, such as from the various departments (day care blocks) to the rehab department in accordance to clients' treatment schedule.
· To ensure the safety and well-being of the clients under your care at all times. To be aware of safety procedures and never to leave clients unattended.
· To provide person-centric model of care in daily operations.
· To monitor clients during treatment to ensure their safety.
· Assist clients in Activities of Daily Living (ADL) activities (e.g., urinary catheterization and urinary drainage system care), accompany clients to the toiletand assist them in elimination needs if necessary.
· To assist clients with other nursing care or first aid (e.g., wound dressing).
· Preparing clients and therapy equipment before each therapy session.
· To provide necessary feedback/ information with regards to clients' behaviour to the therapist.
· To be responsible for up keeping and maintenance of all therapy equipment and report any maintenance and repair required of the equipment.
· To maintain the cleanliness of the department.
· To ensure that the department is locked up at the end of the day.
· To work in liaison with the volunteers who are helping in client activities/sessions.
· To attend and contribute regularly at the following:
- Staff meetings
- Case conference
- In-service and client/caregiver support programmes.
· At a minimum completion of Secondary education or equivalent
· WSQ Certificate in Healthcare Support (Nursing Care) or relevant certificate preferred.
· A team player with good interpersonal communications skills
· Experience in caring for clients with dementia preferred.

Maintain and ensure the proper functioning of therapy equipment. Report any faults or repairs needed promptly.
Keep the department clean and organized, and ensuring that it is properly secured at the end of each working day.
To work in liaison with the volunteers who are supporting in client activities/sessions.
To actively participate in:
Staff meetings
Case conference
In-service and client/caregiver support programmes
Perform any other duties as required.
Requirements
Minimum Secondary education or equivalent.
WSQ Certificate in Healthcare Support (Nursing Care) or other relevant certificate preferred.
A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficient in English or Chinese; ability to converse in local dialects is an advantage.
Prior experience in caring for clients with dementia is preferred.
