As a Executive, Allied Health & Operations (Healthcare), you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Responsible for managing laundry and linen, food services, purchases of services, and the Senior Mobility & Enabling Fund (SMF).
  • Provide comprehensive support all operational matters under the Allied Health and Operations portfolio.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining filing systems for existing services, new services, and pilot projects, including the establishment of operational processes, systems, and procedures to ensure effective service delivery.

  • Support the implementation of hospital-wide pandemic response and business continuity plans when activated.
  • Serve as an Emergency Warden, physically capable of operating fire extinguishers, handling stairwell evacuations
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and projects to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Track expiry and renewal of all licenses and accreditations, submit renewal applications, and assist the AHO Manager in coordinating audits and inspections.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as delegated, including supporting the expansion of services and the development of new projects.

Requirements:

  • General degree or equivalent from a recognised institution is required. Additional qualification in healthcare services would be an advantage.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the AHO Manager in maintaining the operations system and processes of various services to effectively support the hospital in delivering its services. The services include but not limited to:

      a) Laundry and linen services

         b) Food services

    c) Purchases of services

  • Provide general support to the AHO Manager on all operational matters pertaining to the services under the purview of Allied Health and Operations.

  • Nominate as an Emergency Warden to be physically able to handle fire extinguisher and walk down the stairs. One who is calm in an emergency and stressful situation.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives/projects.
  • Keep track of the expiry and renewal dates of all licenses and accreditation; submit renewal applications, assist the AHO Manager in the co-ordination for audits and inspection.
  • Assume other responsibilities relevant to position as delegated from time to time, including work relating to the expansion of services and development of new services or new projects

Requirements:

  • General degree or equivalent from a recognised institution is required. Additional qualification in healthcare services would be an advantage.
  • At least 3 years of working experience in similar capacity.
  • Some knowledge of healthcare operations and service processes is essential.
  • Must demonstrate initiatives; able to work in collaboration with other professionals in the multi-disciplinary hospital team.

Roles and Responsibilities

Planning

  1. Responsible for the planning, monitoring and reviewing of the Group HR department’s resources including budget and manpower;
  2. Assist the Director in developing and translating of strategies into workplans and performance indicators to achieve the overall objective of the organisation;
  3. Tracking, reporting and recommendation of improvements;
  4. Collaborate with HR of other clusters and/or institutions in cross-cluster projects.

Business Partnering

  1. Lead the HR Business Partner team to address business objectives of Company through various HR strategies and services;
  2. Proactively analyse and identify HR issues and recommend solutions for respective Departments and Business Units;
  3. Operationalise HR strategies and initiatives from Ministry and Group HR;
  4. Ensure compliance of HR practices with the employment law/regulations and Group Policies;

Learning & Development

  1. Lead the HR Learning & Development team to build staff competencies and strengthen the leadership pipeline to meet the business objectives;

  2. Measure staff engagement level through Employee Climate Survey and partner with the line to review and address the key survey findings, which will shape HR strategies and initiatives at various levels;
  3. Facilitate staff retention and bonding through various Staff Welfare initiatives;
  4. Facilitate culture alignment for HQ staff to be engaged with the Company’s vision and mission and support Company’s goal;
  5. Assist Director to develop, implement and evaluate approach for culture building at HQ;
  6. Align HQ Culture Building approach and initiative with Group direction;
  7. Provide advice and guidance to various staff committees e.g. HQ Staff Engagement Committee, HQ Culture Building Committee, HQ D&D to ensure that committee/staff event objectives are met and that expenses are managed within the set budget;
  8. Collaborate with Union (HSEU) on initiatives and programmes and work towards a joint solution for staff’s well-being while protecting the organisation’s interest;
  9. Partner management, staff, community chest and Company Charities of Choice in organising and implementing social responsibility programmes.

Qualifications

Degree in Human Resource/ Business Administration or higher qualification. Experiences

Minimum 7 years of relevant working experience.

Proven record of implementing best practices in the field of these domains.

Skill Requirements

  1. Good knowledge of employment law and regulations and HR practices of Singapore;
  2. Strong leadership and managerial skills for heading multiple teams;
  3. Highly proficient in planning, organising and operationalizing strategies and policies;
  4. Strong ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meeting tight deadlines;
  5. Analytical, resourceful, result-focused, innovative and meticulous;
  6. Solid sense of confidentiality and discretion;
  7. Strong problem solving skills and ability to multiple-task;
