Your Role – Impactful, Meaningful And Future-Oriented
- Design and develop hardware-related documentation for CBTC projects, including:
- Bookwirings (detailed wiring diagrams and interconnection documents)
- Bonding Plans (track circuit design and interface with trackwork and traction for safety and EMC compliance)

- Power Distribution Panel (PDP) Single Line Diagrams for station-level or wayside electrical systems
- Conduct power consumption and load calculations to support the design and validation of the electrical architecture.
- Develop and review technical specifications for all equipment to be supplied (e.g., power supplies, field cabinets, junction boxes, etc.).
- Engage in technical discussions with the customer, providing expertise and ensuring that hardware designs align with contractual and operational requirements.
- Work collaboratively with Engineering and Project Managers to plan, track, and deliver hardware deliverables according to project schedules and milestones.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (Systems, RAMS, Installation, etc.) to ensure designs meet all functional, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Support equipment procurement, technical evaluation of vendor solutions, and participate in FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests) as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with relevant railway and electrical standards (e.g., EN 50126/50128/50129, IEC 61375, IEC 60204).
- Assist during integration, testing, and commissioning phases by resolving technical issues and providing on-site or remote support as needed.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering templates, tools, and internal processes.
Your Qualifications And Skills – Digital And Solid
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in hardware design within the railway, transportation, or other safety-critical industries. Experience working in international or large-scale infrastructure projects is preferred.
- Strong command ofAutoCAD/Microstation, or similar tools for generating electrical schematics and single line diagrams.
- Knowledge and experience indeveloping PDP single line diagramsandperforming system-level power calculations.
- Familiarity withCBTC systems, automation principles specific toGoA 4 solutions as well as understanding of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and surge protection in power systems.

- Strong understanding of wiring, grounding, and bonding practices relevant to railway environments.
- Proven experience incustomer-facing technical discussionsand documentation review cycles.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the design, development, and validation of electronic hardware systems used in precision manufacturing tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in analog and digital circuit design, including power supply and signal conditioning.
The successful candidate will contribute to critical technology innovations that shape the semiconductor industry. As part of a high-performing R&D team, you'll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and validate electronic hardware systems for precision manufacturing tools.
- Develop schematic diagrams and PCB layouts using industry-standard EDA tools.
- Integrate and test analog, digital, and power electronic circuits to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Work closely with firmware, mechanical, and software engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Conduct hands-on debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of circuit assemblies.
- Evaluate component selection, BOM cost, and system compatibility for manufacturability.
- Ensure designs meet relevant safety and compliance standards.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and documentation processes to support product lifecycle.
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in hardware circuit design and PCB development.
- Proficiency in PCB design software such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, or Eagle.
- Strong foundation in analog and digital circuit design, including power supply and signal conditioning.
- Familiarity with design practices for EMI/EMC and safety compliance.
- Experience working with microcontrollers, FPGAs, and embedded systems.
- Knowledge of thermal management, board bring-up, and reliability testing.
- Effective communication skills and ability to thrive in cross-functional team environments.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.

Centre for Advanced Robotics Technology Innovation (CARTIN) are looking for a hardware-focused Research Associate to design and prototype a compact and heat-resistant multi-sensor payload. The system must withstand temperatures of 250°C for 10 minutes (without external cooling) while maintaining internal stability for embedded electronics.
Key Responsibilities
- Design compact mechanical housing to operate under 250°C ambient conditions.
- Ensure internal core temperature remains under 55°C during runtime.
- Select and integrate miniaturized components (compute, battery, sensors).
- Strip sensor casings and reassemble into a custom mount with thermal shielding.
- Perform heat simulation, thermal insulation, and shock-resistance design.
- Test hardware in specified sites and environments.
- Bachelor or Master in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar.
- Strong experience in heat-resistant enclosure design and miniaturized hardware integration.
- Familiar with thermal simulation tools (ANSYS, SolidWorks, etc.).
- Experience with IP65/ IP67 standards, fanless computing, and embedded design.
- Knowledge of fire-fighting robot or harsh-environment robotic platforms is a plus.
