• Must have five years of experience in hair cutting

About the role

Join our talented team of hair stylists at The Hive Salon as a full-time Hair Stylist. Working in our modern salon in the Orchard Central region, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional hair services and helping our clients look and feel their best.

What you'll be doing

• Provide high-quality haircuts, styling, colouring and other hair treatments to our diverse clientele
• Offer personalised consultations to understand client needs and preferences
• Recommend and sell professional haircare products to support clients' hair goals
• Maintain a clean and organised workstation to provide a positive salon experience
• Participate in team meetings and training to continuously develop your skills
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment

What we're looking for

• With at least 4 years of experience in the hair industry
• Strong technical skills in cutting, colouring and volume rebonding
• Excellent customer service skills and a passion for helping clients look and feel their best
• Ability to work efficiently and multitask in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

• Consulting with customers on stylistic options for their hair.
• Listening to customers' needs to determine their preferences
• Shampooing, cutting, coloring, highlighting hair and other hair related treatment
• Communicate all treatments and services for the salon to the customer
• Building a good relationship with customer
• Responsible for maintaining a clean, hygienic environment
• Handle equipment and tools of the salon
• Managing customer's booking of appointment

Requirements:

• Minimum 1-year working experience in salon
• Knowledgeable about hair science (hair types, hair evaluation, hair and product interaction)
• Able to upsell products and services
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to communicate in Chinese due to Chinese speaking customers
