Job Summary:
Join our team as a Pool Guardian and play a vital role in keeping our community safe and supported. You'll work in a structured, team-oriented environment, receive valuable training, and develop essential life-saving skills. Make a real impact through proactive supervision and help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all pool users.
Responsibilities:
- Enforce pool rules & regulations to ensure user safety.
- Recognise and respond to unsafe behaviours.
- Alert lifeguards during emergencies and assist in water rescues.
- Support lifeguards with First Aid, CPR, & AED when needed.
- Guide users on the correct and safe use of water slides.
- Assist in managing incidents, including crowd control, pool evacuations & liaising with emergency services.
Requirements:
- Valid Standard First Aid Certificate from an SRFAC-accredited training provider (must remain valid throughout the contract).
- Declaration of sufficient water confidence to remain calm and avoid distress in the pool.
- Strong observation and communication skills.
- Ability to act swiftly and stay composed in emergencies.
- Team player with a proactive attitude.
