The successful candidate will join one of SIA Group's Cloud/DevOps teams, focusing on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the application stakeholders to deliver GCP infrastructure services that are resilient and secure, adhering to best practices for data management and processing.
- Administer and manage cloud infrastructure deployment on GCP, including provisioning and de-provisioning resources, maintaining security posture, monitoring resource utilization, configuring networks, and managing backup/restore processes.
- Troubleshoot issues effectively, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions during and after incidents to minimize downtime.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation and processes for troubleshooting, system maintenance, and configuration management.
- Develop Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions on GCP using tools such as Google Cloud Deployment Manager, Ansible, or Terraform, automating the deployment and management of cloud resources to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Provide training and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions for the cloud community within the organization to promote best practices and continuous learning.
- Explore, evaluate, and implement new technologies that can help the company reduce costs or enhance operational efficiencies.
- Be prepared to perform system administration tasks and incident resolution outside of normal business hours as needed.
Requirements:
- A degree in Information Technology or a related field; GCP Certified Professional Cloud Architect certification is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of Cloud Infrastructure experience, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience working on GCP. Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure is preferred.
- Proficient in Python and Ansible scripting, with a solid understanding of data structures, algorithm design/analysis, and SQL.
- Familiarity with DevOps and infrastructure management tools (e.g., JIRA, DataDog, Splunk, Cloud Conformity).
- Hands-on experience with Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration (GKE) is preferred.
- Experience in deploying object storage and data warehousing solutions, particularly with Google Cloud Storage (GCS) and BigQuery is preferred.
- Experience with API Management (Google Cloud Endpoints, Apigee), Platform as a Service (Cloud Run, App Engine), and DevOps practices is preferred.
- Strong analytical, project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
