- ROLE DESCRIPTION: Global Procurement SpecialistRole DefinitionPlan and execute purchasing/sourcing in support of global strategic plan for ensuring continuity of supply in raw materials and trading goods. Support and participate supplier audits to meet quality management standards. Under supervision from manager, operates with discretion in decision making.General Responsibilities Execute transactional direct purchasing activities for raw material, trading goods applicable packaging and indirect purchasing for support of all plants and offices . Also accountable for purchasing raw materials to be used in Global plants. Set up and maintain procurement records. Analyze and provide market intelligence monthly. Ensure trading goods and all raw materials in Novus Plants conform to Novus Quality Standard. Support Procurement Manager, to ensure the Novus Quality Management System is carried out in a standardized manner, all key raw material suppliers, contract manufacturers, and private label suppliers have been formally audited in support of Novus Quality Standard. Request quotes, negotiate favorable terms, i.e., volume discounts, contract terms and delivery timelines within company guidelines. Maintain communications with vendors. Investigate and resolve the complaints procurement related and make sure completion timely in IM. Provide purchasing/sourcing support for Novus R&D, BU and worldwide plants.Continuously reduce cost of purchasing raw materials. Ensure monthly procurement metrics are updated. Conduct supply chain related analysis when necessary. Enhance our commitment to developing Products and Solutions that provide economic value to our customers while supporting environmental sustainability and social responsibilities in agriculture and human health. Include sustainability principles in our internal operations. Adhere to the Novus Management System (NMS), Novus Integrity System (NIS) and all policies and procedures related to position assignment. Other tasks assigned by manager or the company.General Guidance for Key Knowledge/ Skills/ Experience Bachelors degree in Supply Chain and/or International Business and 5+ years of related purchasing experience in a multinational corporation. Demonstrated knowledge foreign trade, understanding of import/export and supply chain processes. Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications and SAP ERP applications. Prefer proven understanding of auditing suppliers within quality certification processes and quality control systems. As a Manager of the Talent Development team, you will be responsible for leading a fully integrated skills-based organization that enables GP to become a highly skilled and future-ready organization. - Minimum of five years’ experience in Talent Development, Learning & Development, Human Resources, Procurement, or a related field, including demonstrated leadership experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from an accredited college/university; a master's degree in Human Resources, Applied Psychology, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in designing and implementing talent programs and consulting with leaders to identify appropriate development experiences and solutions to improve individual and team effectiveness.
- Strong written and verbal communication and influencing skills, with the ability to effectively engage and cultivate collaborative relationships with individuals at all levels; strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
