Purpose of the role

To develop and execute sales strategies to generate new business, maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, and achieve revenue targets.

Accountabilities

1. Development and maintenance of relationships with clients, understanding their financial needs and objectives.
2. Presentation and pitching of financial products and services to clients, tailored to their requirements.

Corporate Access Professional

Job Description:

Nomura’s Global Markets Division is seeking a Corporate Access Professional to manage corporate roadshows for client transactions worldwide. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing and coordinating virtual and physical events, arranging logistics, and facilitating meetings with investor clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage corporate roadshows for AEJ companies, including planning and execution.
• Arrange roadshow logistics, including transportation, accommodations, and meals.
• Handle virtual meetings, including setting up the platform, testing calls, and moderating sessions.
• Coordinate conferences, tours, and thematic events, including support for corporate invitations and confirmation.
• Support 1-on-1 meeting scheduling for conferences and arrange bespoke meetings for investor clients.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Corporate Access or related fields.

• Able to handle multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment while working long hours before/during large-scale events.
• Korean language fluency - native or business level communication required.

Department overview:
The Strategy team plays a pivotal role in shaping Nomura’s near and longer term strategy across Nomura’s Global Market businesses globally. In addition, the team also supports strategy development across all businesses in Asia ex Japan (Global Markets, International Wealth Management and Investment Banking).

The Strategy team works closely with senior leadership on a range of management initiatives including business expansion strategy, market & competitor analysis, business planning and performance reviews, and client strategy. The team works directly with Senior Management to determine the right strategy for reaching Nomura’s aspirations across businesses in a rapidly changing market environment.

The incumbent will be a key member of Nomura’s Strategy team and will work closely with senior management across business, COO function as well as with key corporate teams such as Finance and Risk.

Role description:
The role reports into the Head of Global Markets Strategy and Head of Asia ex-Japan Strategy, who is based in Singapore. Key responsibilities include:

• Provide analytical support and thought leadership expertise on Global Market strategy initiatives, with a focus on strategic development, long term business growth, and overall positioning of GM’s franchise
• Identify, analyze and monitor issues that affect profitability, growth, and productivity
• Conduct competitor/industry research and analysis leveraging both public and non-public sources
• Research and analyze business profitability and macroeconomic indicators, analyze specific client segments, conduct acquisition screening, perform strategic due diligence
• Stakeholder Management including proactively managing conflicts, issues and risks, collaborate with stakeholders, and engaging on relevant levels
• Prepare management presentations including business plans, business reviews, offsite presentations, town halls
• Work closely with Global Wholesale Strategy team on broader firm-wide initiatives

Skills, experience, qualifications, and knowledge required:

• Candidate should have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a strategy role, in a consulting firm or a strategy/business planning unit of a financial institution
• Experience in developing financial models and perform data analysis
• Experience working on multiple projects and initiatives
• Strong PowerPoint and Excel proficiency
• Problem solving and creative thinking skills a key
• Strong communications skills (verbal and written) – ability to interact confidently with senior business leadership on a range of topics
• Interest in the wider Investment Banking and Capital Markets industry including key trends and market dynamics including Market Structure, Regulations etc
