Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Global Compensation Director to design, implement, and manage our organization's worldwide compensation strategies. This role involves developing competitive and compliant reward structures across multiple regions, with a particular focus on executive compensation, long-term incentives (LTI), and mobility programs. The ideal candidate should bring extensive experience in global compensation frameworks, including but not limited to Singapore, strong leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse markets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Global Compensation Strategy Development
- Design and implement group-wide compensation strategies that align business objectives.
- Ensure market competitiveness through continuous benchmarking and adoption of industry best practices
2. Executive Compensation & Long-Term Incentive (LTI) Management
- Lead the design, administration, and communication of executive compensation programs.
- Oversee LTI plans, including stock options and RSU.
3. Workforce Budgeting & Cost Management
- Manage global labor cost budgeting processes.
- Deliver data-driven insights and analytics to support strategic decision-making.
4. Global Payroll & Mobility Coordination
- Ensure accurate and efficient payroll operations across regions in collaboration with local teams.
- Develop and manage compensation frameworks for expatriates and international assignments.
5. Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and internal policies across all jurisdictions.
- Partner with Legal, Finance, and HR teams to identify and mitigate operational and regulatory risks.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in compensation and benefits, including at least 5 years in a group headquarters role.
- Proven expertise in executive compensation and long-term incentive plan design and administration.
- Strong professional knowledge in compensation design, including salary structure.
- Strong team leadership experience, with at least 5 years of team management experience
- Full professional proficiency in English and Chinese (both written and spoken) to facilitate cross-regional collaboration.
- Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries is highly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or related master's degree preferred.

Market Expansion & JV Support
- Support new market entries by conducting market benchmarking and designing salary ranges and compensation structures tailored to local conditions and business needs.
- Develop compensation frameworks that align with GRS’s strategic objectives and operational realities – including co-development with JV partners
Analytics & Governance
- Conduct compensation analytics to support decision-making, including pay equity, competitiveness and cost impact assessments.
- Ensure compliance with internal governance and external regulatory requirements across all compensation practices.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the liaison between GRS and Group Total Rewards, ensuring two-way communication and feedback.
- Partner with Finance, Legal and other relevant functions to ensure holistic and compliant compensation solutions
Key Decisions & Dimensions
- Balance on localisation vs standardisation
- Performance-reward linkage strategy to drive desired behaviours and business results
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Finance or related field. Professional certification in compensation is a bonus
- 10–15 years of experience in compensation, preferably in a regional or business unit specialist role.
- Experience supporting international markets and joint ventures is a bonus.
- Experience in the energy sector preferred.
Skills/competencies & Preferred Characteristics
- Good interpersonal skills and abilities to communicate with all levels.
- Strong understanding of compensation frameworks, market benchmarking and performance management process
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving ability.

Role Summary:
You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing compensation, benefits, and total rewards strategies that attract, retain, and motivate top talent while aligning with the organization's goals and values, work closely with multiple stakeholder to deliver data-driven insights, oversee salary structures, manage benefits programs, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall employee experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of Compensation & Benefits strategies, including wellbeing programs and process enhancements, to improve employee experience, attract and retain top talent, and align with overall company objectives.
- Develop, manage, and regularly update C&B policies and procedures to ensure alignment and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of salary structures to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness.
- Conduct market research and compensation benchmarking initiatives to remained competitive.
- Design and manage performance-based compensation programs that drive high performance and align employee objectives with business goals.
- Manage and continuously improve employee benefits programs, including healthcare, retirement, and wellness initiatives, ensuring support employee wellbeing and organizational value.
- Ensure all compensation and benefits practices comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- Work with Finance to prepare and manage C&B budgets, including forecasting of salary and benefits expenditures.
- Develop and execute communication strategies to ensure employees clearly understand compensation structures, benefits offerings, and associated policies.
Utilize data analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of C&B programs, providing actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
Education Qualification & Essential Experiences:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related field; a professional certificate is a plus.
- Minimum 5 - 8 years of relevant working experiences
- Experienced working in a start-up environment would be an added advantage
- Proven track record of managing and executing C&B programs in a mid to large-sized organization.
