You will be part of the team that processes plans and calculations for geotechnical structures and other structures such as building foundations, sub-structural works, tunnelling, and earth-retaining structures for excavation works submitted by professional engineers and accredited checkers. You are required to perform checks and reviews of structural and geotechnical plans, including geotechnical analyses, impact assessments, and monitoring plans. You are also expected to develop policies related to such works, conduct site checks, and investigate site non-compliance.

• A post-graduate degree in geotechnical engineering such as MSc(Geotechnical Engineering), MSc(Soil Mechanics), or equivalent.
• A practising professional engineer registered with the Professional Engineers Board.
• At least 5 years of post-graduate design and construction experience in geotechnical works e.g., deep foundations, deep excavation works, tunnelling, ground improvement, and stabilization works.
• Experienced in the use of numerical modelling and geotechnical software.
• Good command of spoken and written English.

Applicants would need to possess PhD in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering with strong interdisciplinary expertise in areas such as soil mechanics, underground construction, soil improvement, instrumentation, monitoring, numerical analysis, Geoenvironmental engineering, as well as using the latest technologies such as AI, digitalization, data analytics, zero carbon and emerging geomaterials. Applicants who are competent to teach first- and second-year undergraduate basic courses for Civil Engineering such as Mechanics of Materials, Fluid Mechanics, Computing and Mathematics will be considered favourably. Candidates would also need to demonstrate strong and relevant teaching ability and strong communication skills. Applicants with industry experience will have an added advantage.

· To review all Authority's and Contractor's drawings

· To supervise all Civil, Structural and Geotechnical building works, both permanent and temporary

· To review Contractor's design and submission and supervise all works associated with Civil and Structural works

· To ensure that contractor had obtained all necessary permits (NOA, NOC, POWS, TM approval, PTD, PTW, etc) and clearance to work

· To conduct site inspection and ensure that contractor(s) implement corrective actions and timely preventive/mitigation measures whenever necessary

· To ensure proper coordination among among Contractor, QPS, Client and relevant agencies.

· To review formwork structure, formwork support systems prior to concreting works and ensure the formworks erected are PE endorsed with Certificate of Supervision (COS) issued

· To upkeep safety, environmental and health matters while working at a construction site

· To review the monitoring data and ensure the Civil and Structural works do not have huge impact on surrounding structures

Requirements:

· Possess BCSS and/or confined space certificate and/or working at height certificate.

• Deliver coordinated federated models in agreed formats.

• Ensure BIM models are developed with correct attributes for accurate quantity take-off and 4D simulation.
• Perform clash detection and resolve design conflicts within BIM models.
• Conduct QA/QC checks prior to model release and exchange.
• Monitor BIM-related tasks and track progress of BIM consultants.
• Prepare as-built drawings for final submission.
• Produce formwork shop drawings and fabrication drawings as required.
• Willing to work extra hours, including weekends during peak construction periods.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 completed projects involving LTA MRT stations (preferred).
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented skills.
• Independent and proactive work attitude.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM coordination tools.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for my own health and safety at the workplace and take reasonable care to create a safe workplace to protect everyone in the organisation
• Responsible for the operations and maintenance of batching plant
• Plan for sufficient manpower and trucks for daily production
• Ensure cost control practices in sludge, W2, diesel, concrete recycling and manpower allocation
• Perform daily checks, maintenance, and arrange necessary repairs for plant equipment
• Receive and ensure accurate pumping of various cement, admixtures and diesel at the batching plant
• Attend coordination meetings and prepare for delivery and concreting arrangement
• Assist with mockup testing and installation of monitoring devices on site to monitor concrete quality
• Monitor concrete conditions (e.g. surface, temperature) and support proper finishing and protection for freshly cast concrete
• Support quality checks, defect identification and repair work at batching plant and customer sites
• Liaise with customers to meet expectations and maintain strong relationships
• Ensure concrete quality by following SOPs during production
• Conduct daily toolbox meetings with staff, workers and drivers before commencing the production
• Other ad hoc duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• ITE NITEC / Diploma holders in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Entry Level candidates are welcome to apply
• General Welding Certificate with experience in gas cutting
• Experience with working in concrete batching plant /machines maintenance is an advantage
• Singapore Class 3 driving license
• Able to read/ understand and communicate in English
