What you will be working on:
Singapore Land Authority is the geospatial agency in Singapore, managing and operating a public map platform to provide localised and accurate map data and location-based services (LBS) for government agencies, private sectors, and public.
We are seeking an experienced Principal Geospatial Data Engineer to advance our public map platform. The successful candidate will manage and optimise diverse geospatial datasets, architect efficient database structures, and develop robust geospatial services. This role offers an opportunity to apply geospatial data engineering technologies to enhance data ingestion, indexing, and retrieval efficiency, and developing robust geospatial services for public benefit, contributing to innovation in location intelligence and mapping solutions. Design and deploy backend services (e.g., RESTful APIs) that provide seamless access to geospatial data for middleware and frontend applications.
Ensure backend services are optimized for high performance, reliability, and scalability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions.
What we are looking for:
Background in Geospatial Science, GIS, Computer Science, or related field.
3+ years of experience in geospatial data engineering or backend development for geospatial applications.

Experience in backend development (Python, Node.js) and version control systems.
