Job Description
- You are a detail-oriented, well-organized, and dependable Environmental Engineer/Geoscientist sought by Pario Engineering & Environmental Sciences LP to join the team in Northern Nova Scotia, including Cape Breton. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and signing off on technical reports, directing field staff, and liaising with clients on a file-by-file basis. You will conduct hydrogeological and environmental site investigations, oversee remediation activities, and collaborate with project managers nationwide. Additionally, you will be accountable for ensuring the quality of remedial work completed by field staff and providing mentorship to junior colleagues.Your role will involve working with the Director and management to develop and enhance Pario's strategic plan, translating it into a vision for implementation. You will lead and support change initiatives, mentor and challenge staff, and maintain strong client relationships. Business development tasks will include creating and implementing strategic account penetration plans, ensuring customer satisfaction, and managing customer relationships effectively.As the successful candidate, you are required to hold a degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Geological Engineering, or Environmental Engineering from a recognized university, or equivalent. You should have 5-8 years of related operational experience, with 3+ years of experience in the Insurance industry being desirable. A valid driver's license is necessary, along with excellent report writing skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. You must be able to provide accurate information and creative solutions to customers, maintain confidentiality, and uphold high standards of integrity. Your enthusiasm, positivity, and collaborative approach will contribute to team success.This position may involve travel within the assigned region and flexibility in work schedules.
