As an Engineer, Design, you will be responsible for product analyzing, design for manufacturing (DFM), tool design 3D and 2D drafting, tool review and debugging.
Key Responsibilities:
Construct mold design layout and conduct mold design review meeting.
Design precision plastic injection molds in accordance with the requirements.
Mold management and liaise closely with internal and external customers on matters relating to mold design.
Preparation of detail bill of material and maintain thorough documentation of hardcopy and softcopy.
Participate in the First-Off Tool review and assess the suitability of the tool for production.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Possesses at least a Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Precision Engineering, and/or any equivalent engineering discipline.
2 years of working experience in tool design, and/or any relevant experience.
Experience in making LSR mold design, as well as packaging mold design is an advantage.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Unigraphics and Microsoft Office Applications.
Familiar with engineering drawings and GD&T.
Ability to develop complex designs to the point of manufacture and release to production.

Conceptualise designs and design carbide press tools for high precision metal stamped parts, deep draw parts and forming parts.
Study part drawing, prepare layout according to product requirement independently.
Complete tool design accordingly to requirement independently.
Ensure smooth transition from product design and development to production.
Resolve any design technical issues in a timely manner and recommend improvements on new & existing tools.
Follow up with toolmaker on tooling during assembly and testing.
Provide guidance to draughtswoman to finish the modification on simple tooling design.
Any other duties as assigned by superior and / or management.
Requirements
Diploma in Mechanical / Tool & Die Engineering.
Certification in the various design software.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in Tool & Die Design.
Practical knowledge in tool design & manufacturingtechnology. High speed progressive tool design, forming or multi-slidableesign, machining, assembly, trouble shooting and dimension inspection.
Ability to useAutoCAD/V6/solid works/CAD programs. Interpersonal & communication skills.
