Job Summary:
The Food Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the assigned production shift to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality food manufacturing processes. This role includes supervising production staff, planning shifts, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring compliance with company policies, food safety regulations, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate production shifts
- Ensure adherence to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points), and food safety standards.
- Monitor production workflows.
- Help train, mentor, and evaluate production employees; provide feedback and corrective actions when necessary.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Inventory teams to ensure seamless production flow.
- Monitor equipment functionality and coordinate with maintenance for timely repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation.
- Lead safety initiatives and promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Investigate and resolve production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Enforce company policies and disciplinary procedures when required.
- 5+ years of experience in food manufacturing, including 1+ year in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations (HACCP, FSSC, BRC).
