Job Description

• Industry/ Organization Type: Distribution
• Position Title: Class 3 Delivery Driver
• Working Location: Location near Upper Thomson MRT
• Working Hours: 6 days (Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 5 PM; Saturday, 10 AM – 6 PM)
• Monthly Salary: $2,500
• Duration: Permanent

Responsibilities

• Deliver orders to customers on daily assigned routes and time schedules.
• Efficiently handle and arrange daily delivery routes and schedules.
• Collect payment and obtain customer acknowledgment of goods upon delivery.
• Physically load and unload goods.
• Perform collection of goods from suppliers when needed.
• Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of the vehicle.
• Perform any other ad-hoc operational duties as assigned.
• Assist with other warehouse tasks assigned by the Operations Manager as needed.

Requirements

• Valid Class 3 manual driving license.
• Good driving record with no major violations.
• Physically fit and able to handle loading and unloading of goods.
• Basic understanding of English or Chinese.
• Capable of performing deliveries with 12-foot trucks or vans.
• Experience in using a pallet jack.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Minimum 1 year of delivery driving experience preferred.
• Candidates with good road knowledge will be preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate a delivery vehicle (e.g., van, truck, car) in a safe and responsible manner.
• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations while driving and follow company policies and procedures for vehicle operation.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure proper functioning and report any issues or maintenance needs.
• Plan the most efficient route to reach destinations on time and optimize delivery schedules.
• Load and unload goods from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and securement of items.
• Deliver goods to customers or specified locations according to delivery schedules.
• Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details, such as delivery times and locations.
• Provide accurate and timely updates on delivery status and any delays encountered during the delivery process.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service during deliveries.
• Assist customers with loading and unloading goods as needed.
• Address customer inquiries or concerns courteously and escalate issues to management when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery logs, receipts, and signatures.
• Collect payments from customers as required and issue receipts for cash transactions.
• Complete delivery paperwork and reports accurately and submit them to the appropriate personnel.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid class 4 driving license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a delivery driver or similar role.
• Familiarity with local roads and routes in Singapore.
• Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items (20kgs to 30 kgs) and perform physical tasks associated with delivery duties.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Work Location and Hours:

• Location: Jalan Tepong (near Lakeside MRT)
• Work schedule: 5.5 days or 6 days a week
