Role Summary
This is an Investment Analyst role based in Singapore. The individual will be part of the Equities team under the Investment group.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Produce high quality investment research reports with actionable investment ideas for the firm’s equity portfolios.
Generate alpha and contribute investment ideas for both relative and absolute return portfolios.
Provide comprehensive financial sector coverage for banks and non-banks financial institutions across Singapore, Asia and global markets. Sector coverage may evolve based on team priorities and the individual’s expertise and aspirations.
Collaborate closely with portfolio managers and other teams to ensure research insights are aligned with broader investment strategies
Contribute to the research team initiatives and projects.
Education Qualification
Bachelor’s degree
Preferably a CFA charter holder
Experience and Skills
5 to 8 years of relevant analyst experience covering financial sector
Solid fundamental bottom-up research analysis skills
Good team player who embraces a collaborative and open working culture aligned with Fullerton’s core values

Job Description:

• Conduct screening and due diligence review on prospects and referral partners before onboarding
• Conduct ongoing monitoring on existing clients
• Responsible for the implementation and enhancement of the Compliance framework within the company
• Conduct post transaction review to ensure adherence to balanced scorecard requirements, regulation and internal policies
• Track the CPD training hours of the licensed representatives and maintain the record keeping
• Prepare and maintain the compliance reports for management and regulatory reporting

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business related fields

The opportunity
Our Financial Services Transaction Diligence team aims to assist clients throughout the entire transaction process, and works closely with other specialists across EY. Whilst traditional financial due diligence is a key element of our work, transaction support is much broader, incorporating assistance with strategic assessment, transaction management, negotiation and documentation, and post-completion processes.
Typically, you will analyse the financial results of financial services companies (e.g. banks, insurers, asset manager and FinTechs) targeted for investment by reviewing financial information and conducting interviews with key management of the company. You will work effectively as a team member by demonstrating your commitment to quality, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication and updating senior team members on progress. You will work on opportunities across ASEAN and occasionally across APAC.
You will also help to create a positive learning culture for junior team members and support their development. And as part of your role in the wider team, you will have a role to play in other team initiatives – for example, account management, business development and recruitment of new teammates.
Your Key Responsibilities

What we look for
Bachelor's degree with minimum 6 years of relevant work experience
Chartered Accountant or equivalent qualified
Commercial awareness gained through direct experience of the financial services sector (either from within an Audit or Transaction Support role)
