We are seeking a sharp, intellectually curious Equity Research Analyst to join our investment team. Responsibilities:

· Conduct in-depth fundamental research on global large-cap companies across sectors

· Analyse company financials, industry dynamics, and competitive positioning

· Develop and articulate an investment thesis based on independent thinking and thorough analysis

· Work closely with portfolio managers and other analysts in a highly collaborative process

· Monitor existing investments and update views as new information becomes available

· Communicate ideas clearly, both in writing and verbally

· Prepare and present investment theses and strategies to internal and external parties, and to support our business development activities

· Comfortable working with numbers and financial statements

· Able to work independently and take ownership of research

  • Prepare investment communications materials and communicate with high impact with the Bank’s clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide ongoing coverage and justifications on EQ research ideas and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Take on a thought leadership role with clear and confident communication of investment ideas in presentations with clients and prospects, including SG residents, to express their equity research view.

Key Responsibilities Team Management & Research Leadership
  • Build, coach, and manage a team of 4–5 equity analysts, optimizing research processes and enhancing overall output quality.
  • Define research directions, assign coverage areas, and ensure comprehensive coverage of key technology companies listed in Hong Kong and the U.S.
  • Guide the team in producing in-depth company analysis, industry trend research, and strategic investment reports.

Investment Strategy & Decision-Making

  • Develop sector investment strategies based on team research findings and present recommendations to the investment committee or clients.
  • Lead thematic research initiatives, manage investment pacing, and oversee portfolio allocation.
  • Review and approve investment strategies for key companies, including valuation assessments and rating adjustments.

Investment Advisory & Decision Support

  • Lead the team in delivering clear, professional research insights to clients, supporting their investment judgment and decision-making.

Internal & External Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with investment counsellors and other analysts, providing guidance on equity investments.
  • Communicate thematic research outputs externally to enhance product transparency and client experience.
  • Represent the team in reporting market outlooks and research findings to senior management.
Qualifications

Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
  • CFA, MBA, or equivalent professional qualifications preferred.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of Hong Kong/U.S. equity research experience covering technology sectors , with a background in buy-side (funds, asset management) or sell-side (brokerage, investment banking).
  • At least 3 years of equity research team management experience.
  • Deep expertise in technology sectors (e.g., Internet, semiconductors, AI, SaaS, hardware) with an established industry network.
  • Language skills in English and Mandarin are required for effective communication with clients and stakeholders in both languages.
