Responsibilities:

  • Carry out financial counselling to inpatients ensuring all relevant documents are properly executed and are complete.
  • Check and verify inpatient charges and prepare provisional bills for all inpatients.
  • Attending and handling of pre-admissions processes of inpatients.
  • Prepare Medifund report for Medifund assistance.
  • Reconciles and follow-up on claims of patients with private insurance plans.
  • Collects payments of deposits from inpatients upon admission as well as payments of hospital charges, pharmaceuticals and other payments from outpatients and donations paid over the counter.
  • Maintains and updates patients’ database.
  • Follow up on payment from patients with outstanding debts.
  • Reviews accounts of patients due for discharge and informs patients’ family members of amount payable on discharge whenever applicable.
  • Prepares refund of deposits and attends to all enquiries from patients on refunds.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of Diploma or Degree in Business Administration/Finance, LCCI in Accountancy or related disciplines
  • Preferably possess one year working experience in similar capacity
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel/ Words)
  • Knowledge and experience in computerized accounting (preferably SAP) is an advantage
  • Good communication, interpersonal & organizational skills
