About the Role
The Economic & Financial Consulting practice is a compact and dynamic team, offering you the opportunity to work within small teams and gain deeper exposure to projects. We provide oral and written expert evidence on damages quantification, accounting issues, loss of profits, valuation of businesses or instruments, and regulatory issues in the context of commercial and investment treaty related disputes.
Questions of accounting, economics, finance or valuation often arise in the resolution of disputes. Our team works seamlessly to solve complex, unstructured problems such as:
How do you calculate the impact of product contamination on a multinational business?
Is a business without sales or profits worthless?
What losses arose from a set of cancelled and reversed cryptocurrency trades?
How do you measure the value of a call option on a stake in a food delivery platform?
How can a country decarbonise its electricity network to achieve Net Zero, while maintaining affordability for consumers, and security of supply?
How much are consumers willing to pay for music in a nightclub?
Key Responsibilities
Identify relevant project material and deliver critical supporting research;
Examine large volumes of data;
Assist with preparation of reports, written studies, presentations, quantitative exhibits, and other client deliverables;
Undertake the design and building of valuation models and perform financial analysis;
Investigate and critique assertions, evaluations, and work products of other experts; and
Assist in business development activities in Asia-Pacific, as needed.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proficiency in English.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a multi-task environment with attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure to respond to deadlines.
Strong diagnosticthinking, logical curiosity and passion for problem-solving.
Excellent work ethic, including a constant desire to learn.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint .

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Business, Finance, or equivalent professional qualification
Minimum 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in an international public accounting firm or financial institution
Knowledge of International and MAS Regulations (including, Banking Act, SFA, PSA, AML/CTF, Data Privacy)
Experience in internal audit or risk or compliance department will be an added advantage.

Private Wealth Management (PWM)
Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management (PWM) specializes in creating comprehensive wealth management plans for high net worth individuals and families, as well as select institutions, including foundations and endowments. PWM Teams work one-on-one with clients to advise and deliver customized strategies drawn from our deep investment experience, diverse wealth management capabilities and global reach. Serve as the liaison for clients regarding inquiries and provides team support
Analyze and monitor client portfolios, and assist with other aspects of managing a client relationship
Drive and complete a number of compliance requirements and control related functions
Assist clients with asset transfers
Assist the teams with execution of trades (primarily in FX and Cash deposits)
Handle cash management, foreign exchange transactions, currency hedging and money markets trades
Assist teams in subscribing hedge funds, private equity funds and GSAM funds
Assist on projects related to platform development and other infrastructure issues
Handle margin related requests and queries; liaise with various operations and technology teams for day to day support
Partner with operations on all account opening / maintenance matters, including various remediation efforts.

Your key responsibilities
TheWealth and Asset Management (WAM)team works collaboratively with our clients to address critical issues brought on by current global changes i.e. regulatory changes, globalization, advances in technology, competition and changing demands of their customers.
The team manages engagements with the support of WAM and Consulting resources across all aspects of design, analysis and delivery of WAM solutions. You will support the implementation and delivery of quality deliverables, working and communicating effectively with the engagement team and client’s team to ensure exceptional performance.
Skills and attributes for success
A strong understanding of the Wealth & Asset Management (WAM) industry. In particular, a good understanding of typical Investment Management processes (e.g. front office, middle office, back office etc.), and organizational structures in WAM.
A strong understanding of the technology platforms that service the WAM industry (e.g. order management systems, deal pipeline and contact management systems, trade processing and investment operation systems etc.).
Good understanding of economic, market and asset management trends and issues paired with the ability to interpret their impacts on clients.
Leverage technology to continually learn, improve service delivery and maintain our leading edge best practices.
Strong communications skills and evident working with people and teams from different ethnic backgrounds.
Possess strong interpersonal and teaming skills.
Self-starter and comfortable operating with ambiguity.
Strong presentation skills and proficiency in the use of PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
To qualify for the role you must have
Academic background in Engineering, IT, Business, Economics, Finance or Accounting.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in the WAM industry, having worked with firms such as asset managers, private banks or wealth managers, sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, private equity firms or hedge funds.
Consulting skills, functional and technical knowledge of Aladdin Blackrock / eFront, SimCorp Dimension, Temenos WealthSuite and Avaloq platforms are an added bonus.
Proven capabilities in delivering business transformation projects and programs, Finance Transformation projects and / or Financial Operating Model would be an advantage.
Track record dealing with senior stakeholders and adapting to demanding environments.
Ideally, you’ll also have
Good understanding of key issues being faced by WAM firms and ability to translate that into opportunities for our clients.
Strong stakeholder management skills in understanding strategic direction and being able to convert into cohesive change management strategy and plans.
Ability to establish personal credibility quickly and deliver high quality deliverables.
Ability to develop client opportunities and identify market growth opportunities.
Ability to support the business development cycle.
Knowledge of statutory and regulatory aspects of WAM industry.
