What role will you play?
As Senior Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a regional media communications strategy as well as leading external communications and issues management in Asia. You’ll collaborate closely with Corporate Affairs colleagues globally on integrated communications activities and announcements, with teams spanning internal communications, brand and government relations disciplines.
In addition, you will develop junior colleagues to maintain a high performing and collaborative function.
What You Offer
- 10+ years’ experience in media and external communications, including transaction management, leadership communications and government engagement matters with a strong understanding and in-depth knowledge of financial services or asset management
- A track record in the successful management of external communications projects and handling time-sensitive reputational issues
- Strong existing relationships with media, including international, regional, local and trade press
- Experience working across markets in Asia, with an appreciation of the nuances of each market
- Sound judgement and comfortable working alongside senior leadership as a trusted advisor
- Due to this roles Asia regional responsibilities, strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with proficiency in Mandarin/Chinese/Japanese an advantage.

- Support company’s Asia Pacific sites with key internal and external stakeholder communication and CSR.
- Plan, support and execute regional event support in coordination with global teams.

- Develop and execute internal and external content strategy, working with peers in brand engagement and public affairs to ensure consistency of message across the enterprise.

Public Relations Strategist (Media/ Communications/ Aerospace)
12-Months Contract
Location: Seletar
Salary is commensurate with the experience
Our client is a US aerospace manufacturer. They manufacture military rotorcraft as well as commercial helicopters. Our client also involves in wholesale of aircraft equipment and aircraft supplies (including aeronautical equipment).
General Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Brand, Marketing and Sales teams to create meaningful strategic communications plans that leverage company’s credible brand to heighten brand awareness, connect with new media, participate in “surprising events in unique ways.”
- Support company’s Asia Pacific sites with key internal and external stakeholder communication and CSR.
- Plan, support and execute regional event support in coordination with global teams.
- Establish company and SMEs as the go-to experts for campaign needs to deepen credibility and expanding overall presence.
- Develop and execute internal and external content strategy, working with peers in brand engagement and public affairs to ensure consistency of message across the enterprise.
- Develop and execute media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media.
- Plan, write, deliver and measure external communications content across multiple channels, including company newsroom, social media, employee messaging and more.
- Coordinate all public relations activities to accomplish campaign needs.
- Monitor, analyze and communicate results.
- Make appropriate recommendations regarding communications strategy and timing as required.
- Establish and maintain procedures and processes to ensure that communications activities are carried out on time and in a consistent and efficient manner, in accordance with company commitments and corporate standards.
- Exert some influence on the overall business objectives and long-term goals of the communications function.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or a related field
- A minimum of two years of experience in corporate communications in internal/ employee communications, public relations or marketing communications.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills
- Understanding of industry practices and standards in communications.
- Proven experience building collaborative relationships with internal and external customer.
- Self-starter who can anticipate requests before they are received.
- Ability to accommodate working hours of operations in other time zones.
- Ability to travel up to 15% as needed.
