Job Title: Supply Chain Operations Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supply Chain Operations Specialist to join our team. This role involves providing general support to the Production Manager and ensuring that production schedules and planning are executed on time.
The successful candidate will assist in scheduling, planning, and forecasting inventory requirements to maintain a smooth-running and efficient department. They will generate Master Production Schedules and Manufacturing Orders, forecast inventory requirements, optimize inventory levels, and help evaluate and implement an inventory management system.
This role requires close collaboration with Marketing, Production, Purchasing, and Inventory Teams to plan, monitor inventory levels, and ensure timely delivery of materials. The ideal candidate will review sales forecasts, customer demands, and schedule production orders based on inventory levels and production lead times.
Key responsibilities include taking part in logistics planning for raw materials and work-in-progress, taking charge of planning and making tactical buying decisions, executing purchasing strategies, and handling repeat buys. Additionally, the specialist will coordinate production material requirements with marketing or purchasing to assure adequate inventory of raw materials and packaging.
They will be responsible for maintaining accurate raw materials and work-in-progress inventory levels. Assist to oversee production planning and management activities, develop production planning and timelines according to production specifications, determine production requirements based on plant capacity and production specifications, identify delays, and adjust schedules to meet deadlines.
This is a critical role requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience in Production Material Planning Management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel is also required. Self-motivated individuals who can work independently with initiative are essential for this position.
